I agree that it is best to secure one's cyber holdings with a key.

However, one of goals of blockchain developers is to get their coins on exchanges. Blockchains want their coins on exchanges so that the coins get used for commerce.

One of the driving forces behind the 20% interest on HBD is the hope that the interest would incentivize people to use HBD on exchanges for purchases.
