Yeah, I really do need a place of my own.
I don't think anyone deserves power cuts to get some perspective. If life's good, let them have it lol. We should be entitled to good power supply. It's a very basic thing.

Yes I suppose. But people moan a lot about stuff here and they don't know how lucky they are to have all their basic needs met. Plus, moaning doesn't change things! When we have power cuts here, it's like - maybe an hour? - the most I've had in my life is like 10 pm to 6 am or something, ONCE! - and I survived. Anyway, the news is all doom and gloom so it might not even happen anyway - the media here likes to jump on the smallest thing to create anxiety and fear.
The thing is, when something is always there, the absence of it can be dangerous.
I had an aunt come from the US and she said whenever they have a minor cut-off from power, a shop gets robbed because their security systems are dependent on power.
Here, we don't expect 24-hour power so most security systems aren't dependent on it.
There's a reason for the anxiety and fear, I can understand it.
