Mycelic Morphoids are in a constant state of growth and development. As part of Queen Mycelia's brood, Morphoids work to spread the growing blight on Praetoria. Infected themselves by the poison, they take root near streams and rivers, contaminating it with the blight. In turn, the waters feed them, and a second Morphoid sprouts from the original. Together, the two travel as one until they split and continue the process.

LINE UP AND POSITIONING

Summoner: OBSIDIAN

Reason for Picking:
A rare summoner for earth team that provides plus one magic damage to all friendly monsters. One of the popular choices to use as earth summoner for only 4 mana cost and a good choice to team up with MYCELIC MORPHOID.

First Position: MYCELIC MORPHOID

Reason for Picking:
A very low mana cost monster that can be use at any position but preferably at 1st position as it doesn't have any abilities at level 1 aside from 1 melee damage, 1 speed and 2 health for only 1 mana cost.

Second Position: CHAOS AGENT

Reason for Picking:
A one mana cost monster that provides 2 speed and 1 health, this can be position at any place as it served only as a decoy to your opponent.

Third Position: FURIOUS CHICKEN

Reason for Picking:
A rare neutral unit that serves as another monster to target on the battlefield before the other important friendly monsters around that can do damage to your opponent.

Fourth Position: REGAL PERYTON

Reason for Picking:
A rare earth unit that provides 1 magic damage, 5 speed and 6 health with flying ability at level one. Also this is best used with OBISIDIAN summoner with additional 1 magic damage.

Fifth Position: KHMER PRINCESS

Reason for Picking:
Another rare earth unit that provides 1 magic damage, 1 speed and 2 health for only 2 mana cost. Best tandem also with obsidian summoner and good fit with MYCELIC MORPHOID.

Sixth Position: CREEPING OOZE

Reason for Picking:
A one mana cost neutral unit that provides a SLOW ability to your opponent and a good unit to have for a low mana battle ruleset.

No modifications to the standard gameplay rules and mechanics.

(PLAY BY PLAY)

ROUND 1

Reaction:
OBSIDIAN VS DRAKE OF ARNAK summoner, 6 versus 4 monsters. Let the battle begin!

ROUND 2

Reaction:
It's like a magic damage battle as the monsters left only can do damage using magic except for the MYCELIC MORPHOID that provides a good cover for my team.

ROUND 3

Reaction:
With the help of MYCELIC MORPHOID and other shield monster around my team, I was able to save all my magic damage monsters at the end and help me to WIN this battle.

Battle Results Reaction:

A very short 3 rounds of battle but expected as the mana battle ruleset is only at 14. It was also a fun to watch battle as the monsters with low mana cost are force to use on this one and showcase their best abilities and power they have.

My lineup is consists of 1 melee attacker, 2 magic attackers, and 3 neutral units.

Did your strategy work?

Yes it works fine. The combination of my low cost mana monster with some of the best use decoy units provide the difference on this battle.

What will you try differently next time?

I will definitely add more powerful monsters around MYCELIC MORPHOID as long as the ruleset allows me to.

Do you like the MYCELIC MORPHOID? Why or why not?

Yes. As long as the mana cost battle is not very high to maximize the monsters to be use on the battlefield.
