Los colores se apropian de mi alma y logran calmarme, sumergirme en lapsos de infinita quietud.

Hay algunas tardes de mi vida en que es necesario la conexión con los colores, esta vez decidí realizar un mandala de forma espóntanea, simplemente busqué los materiales y decidí que todo fluyera.

Colors take over my soul and manage to calm me down, submerge me in lapses of infinite stillness.

There are some afternoons in my life when it is necessary to connect with colors, this time I decided to make a mandala in a spontaneous way, I simply looked for the materials and decided to let everything flow.

Utilicé mis pinturas, pinceles, reglas, lápiz y una hoja de papel tamaño carta. Abrí un juego de escudras nuevo y el transportador me encantó hací que decidí usarlo como molde para algunas figuras de mi mandala.

I used my paints, brushes, rulers, pencil and a sheet of letter size paper. I opened a new set of shields and I loved the protractor so I decided to use it as a mold for some of my mandala figures.

Tomé el transportador y comencé a realizar los círculos que tiene adentro.

I took the protractor and started to make the circles inside it.

Fuí realizando círculos de diferentes tamaños uno dentro de otros, al principio quería hacer cómo un sistema de planetas.

I was making circles of different sizes one inside the other, at first I wanted to make a system of planets.

Luego con la regla realicé cortes desde los círculos hasta el borde de la hoja de forma simétrica, el mandala fue tornándose más geométrico.

Then with the ruler I made cuts from the circles to the edge of the sheet in a symmetrical way, the mandala became more geometric.

Al tener el bosquejo listo, respiré profundo y decidí pintar por colores, osea no de adentro hacia afuera como siempre lo hago, sino que usaria un color, pintaría todo los espacios de ese color y así sucesivamente.

Once I had the sketch ready, I took a deep breath and decided to paint by colors, that is, not from the inside out as I always do, but I would use one color, paint all the spaces in that color and so on.

Tenía inspiración por colores vibrantes, cítricos, frescos, así que inicié pintando con el amarillo, en lugares al azar donde simplemente me gustara.

I was inspired by vibrant, citrusy, fresh colors, so I started painting with yellow, in random places where I just liked it.

Continué llenando con los colores que fui eligiendo intuitivamente, poco a poco fui llenando todos los espacios con los colores.

I continued filling with the colors that I intuitively chose, little by little I filled all the spaces with the colors I had chosen.

Así quedó el mandala en su primera parte con los colores que fui eligiendo, me gustó tenia cierto aire a piñata de fiesta infantil, o a muchas luces de colores.

Para continuar decidí hacer un ejercicio de paciencia y concentración, y pinté muchos puntitos de diferentes colores en cada espacio del mandala. Esto me llevó aproximadamente 1 hora.

To continue I decided to do an exercise of patience and concentration, and I painted many dots of different colors in each space of the mandala. This took me about 1 hour.

De esta manera terminé de pintar todos los espacios y quedó listo mi mandala, luego con un marcador punta fina negro delineé todo para que realzara los colores.

In this way I finished painting all the spaces and my mandala was ready, then with a black fine tip marker I outlined everything to enhance the colors.

Buscando un poco más allá, investigué sobre los colores que se usan en los mandalas y su significado y más o menos esto fue lo que se describe de los colores que usé:

Energía, vida , creatividad, libertad, alegría.-

Creo que definitivamente así me siento.
