Hoy vengo a compartir con ustedes una parte de mi vida que fue muy especial, esta parte fue mi infancia y dentro de lo que vengo a contarles voy a compartirles uno de mis más grandes tesoros que es mi primer libro de fábulas, mitos y leyendas un regalo que nos hizo mi mamá a mi hermanita menor y a mí y que de alguna manera constituyó uno de mis primeras experiencias en el mundo mágico de la lectura.

Desde muy pequeña amaba que me leyeran cuentos, una vez que ya supe leer bien, a la edad de 5 años, mi mamá comenzó a darnos libros para que los disfrutáramos o para realizar copias y así trabajar nuestra ortografía, caligrafía y nuestra comprensión lectora.

FABULANDIA fue uno de esos libros con los que nos dejamos enamorar por la lectura, si ven este libro tiene una cubierta de cuero, parece que fuese de una época medieval, es muy grande ya que mide 22 cms de ancho por 30 cms de largo y a mí me encantaba eso, ya que a veces jugaba a qué era un libro de hechizos y yo era la hechicera que lo podía leer.

Su olor da la sensación de un tesoro de antaño, como si hubiese sido sacado de cofres de piratas, yo lo veo y suspiro, pues mis primeras grandes aventuras las viví junto a los personajes de todas las fábulas, mitos y leyendas que allí son contadas.

FABULANDIA me ofreció y todavía me ofrece una cantidad de historias variadas y lo que más me gusta es que son de muchas partes del mundo, hay cuentos Chinos y árabes, leyendas australianas y griegas, también cuentos de la cultura popular.

Una de las características más especiales de este libro es su arte, las imágenes de los cuentos son una obra en sí mismas. Eso es una de las cosas que más me gustaban, porque le daban un toque de realidad, iban más allá de los dibujos tradicionales infantiles de los cuentos para niños.

Uno de mis cuentos favoritos era el de "La Princesa de las Selvas de las Glicinas", además de lo romántico de la historia, yo podía pasar horas viendo la imágen de la princesa imaginando que yo era ella, creo que fue uno de mis primeros paradigmas de belleza.

Las leyendas australianas eran para mí una aventura total, a la edad de 5 años, poder entender que cada cultura tenía su propia concepción de como se fue formando el mundo, los eventos naturales y el origen de ellos, hizo que creciera teniendo una concepción muy amplia en cuánto a las creencias religiosas.

Mis favoritas eran las griegas, ellas me llevaron a poder leer luego con mucho entusiasmo a La Odisea y La Ilíada, ya que venía con el gusto por querer saber más de todas estas culturas, más adelante leería epopéyas cómo el Mahabaratha, o sobre la cosmogonía Hindú de dónde tomé los nombres para mis hijos: Hanuman Ganesh, Anjani Jananí y Krishna.

Cada libro es un universo es sí mismo, este es en mi vida uno que me llevó a viajar por muchos mundos y muchas historias, hoy debo retribuirle esto y deseo mandarlo a arreglar ya que tiene la cubierta un poco dañada y le sale encuadernarlo mejor usando su misma cubierta, pero no he logrado conseguir un sitio donde lo hagan.

Sueño con que un día mis nietos y nietas si los llego a tener puedan leerlo también, o que sentados en mis piernas yo pueda leerles estas historias.

Y así termino de contarles sobre este pedacito de mi vida ligada a la lectura, que es muy valioso para mí.

From a very young age I loved to have stories read to me, once I was able to read well, at the age of 5, my mom started giving us books to enjoy or to make copies to work on our spelling, handwriting and reading comprehension.

FABULANDIA was one of those books with which we fell in love with reading, if you see this book has a leather cover, it looks like it was from a medieval time, it is very big as it measures 22 cms wide by 30 cms long and I loved that, because sometimes I played that it was a spell book and I was the sorceress who could read it.

Its smell gives the sensation of a treasure of yesteryear, as if it had been taken out of pirates' chests, I see it and sigh, because my first great adventures were lived together with the characters of all the fables, myths and legends that are told there.

FABULANDIA offered me and still offers me a lot of varied stories and what I like the most is that they are from many parts of the world, there are Chinese and Arabic tales, Australian and Greek legends, also tales from popular culture.

One of the most special features of this book is its art, the images of the stories are a work in themselves. That's one of the things I liked the most, because they gave it a touch of reslidad, they went beyond the traditional children's drawings of the stories for children.

One of my favorite stories was "The Princess of the Wisteria Jungles ", besides the romance of the story, I could spend hours looking at the image of the princess imagining that I was her, I think it was one of my first beauty paradigms.

Australian legends were a total adventure for me, at the age of 5, being able to understand that each culture had its own conception of how the world was formed, the natural events and the origin of them, made me grow up having a very broad conception of religious beliefs.

My favorites were the Greeks, they led me to read later with great enthusiasm The Odyssey and The Iliad, since I came with the taste for wanting to know more about all these cultures, later I would read epopoeias like the Mahabaratha, or about the Hindu cosmogony from where I took the names for my children: Hanuman Ganesh, Anjani Janani and Krishna.

Each book is a universe is itself, this is one in my life that took me to travel through many worlds and many stories, today I must give back this and I want to send it to fix it because the cover is a little damaged and it is better to bind it using the same cover, but I have not been able to find a place where they do it.

I dream that one day my grandsons and granddaughters, if I have them, will be able to read it too, or that sitting on my lap I will be able to read these stories to them.

And so I finish telling you about this little piece of my life linked to reading, which is very valuable to me.
