"En las nubes"

Cuesta respirar desde este punto
y cada día robas mis suspiros,
impregnarme de tí es ese asunto
que a mi ser le da motivos de estar vivo.

Una hoja se quebró bajo mis pies,
un pájaro lanzó un bello silbido,
una ardilla guardó muy bien su nuéz
y mi ser solo quiere estar contigo.

De la montaña eres toda la dureza
del arroyuelo eres toda su frescura,
y busco en mis recuerdos tu entereza
cuando llego a mi punto de locura.

Recostada con la tierra a mis espaldas
imagino que serías mi querube
te vi caminar bajo mis faldas
y sintiéndote subí a las nubes.

"In the clouds."

It's hard to breathe from this point
and every day you steal my sighs,
impregnating me with you is the thing
that gives my being a reason to be alive.

A leaf broke under my feet,
a bird gave a beautiful whistle,
a squirrel guarded his nut very well
and my being only wants to be with you.

Of the mountain you are all the hardness
of the stream you are all its freshness,
and I search in my memories for your integrity
when it reached my point of madness.

Lying with the earth at my back
imagining that you would be my cherub
I saw you walking under my skirts
and feeling you I climbed up to the clouds.
