Thanks for sharing Zoltan, I have not seen this movie so will look out for a copy as looks great.

From my time working within the New Zealand Government, I have seen how lobbyists influence decisions. Public servants develop policies for the public good generally, whereas lobbyists passionately push their own agenda to the front.

As Jessica Chastain correctly points out, you need to do your research. The key is to keep focussed on your subject and grind away the win.

Honestly, lobbying sounds good if you fight for a right thing, but usually it's used as a corruption tool... and that's a shame...

Yeah a real shame Zoltan, and no matter how hard you try, you cannot convince how very wrong some of their arguments are! We had a situation where one lobby group demanded a certain action that would result in the deaths of 1-2 New Zealanders every year. We got the Cabinet Minister responsible for that decision to sign off, to protect the public servants from prosecution by the courts. What happens behind the public face of governance, that I don't talk much to people about!
