This was a follow on from a great post by @horpey with step by step instructions to set up your automation.


Share STEEM posts to Twitter.



Twitter plays a huge role in reaching new audiences and it's something that we are under utilizing as a platform. We can see how simple ideas like @stephenkendal with the "I ❤ #Steem.!! campaign can gain momentum and grow when people get involved.

All of this is down to the great community here and people's willingness to help and spread the message. Marketing is something we have been crying out for with a long time but it's the small ideas like this can can capture people's attention.

Twitter has a nice analytics section to check on your account so I took a look at it today to see if auto posting had any effect on my activity.





You can see where my auto posting started on the 28th of November and the effect it has had on my views and interactions since. As all of my posting on twitter is STEEM related I think it's obvious that more content on twitter will gain more exposure for the blockchain.

Everything that I post or resteem now gets posted to my twitter account which is great to gain extra exposure. I don't resteem much so it tends to be something of extra information or special quality which is the type of content that the outside world needs to see.





I have always posted on STEEM about the importance of being consistent with your effort so for me, Twitter is no different. If you are producing content then people will follow you and grow your audience.

For me the automation has been great for exposure and I would recommend that everybody sets it up and gets more eyes onto STEEM. I also have the @steem-info account on twitter which I have now automated to share all of those tweets onto Facebook and gain even more exposure for the articles with little to no extra effort. That's a slow burner but with the extra posts going onto Facebook the page has started to get some views as well.

Thanks @traciyork and I know your active over on twitter too as I see your name pop up fairly often in my feeds. The more activity we can get the better and I'm a numbers guy so love analytics. Something I hope we can get into STEEM at some stage.

One of my first (a few) for pay blog posts talked about how consistently posting on my WP blog (back in 2014) grew my audience, with some simple graph comparisons, so this is a topic I love to see! And yeah, I've been filling my feed with #Steem for a while now, but haven't tracked my analytics there. Something I've been doing off and on for a few months now is to tweet out blog posts for the Monday Blogs tag, using a mix of my WP blogging friends, and my SteemPress friends (using their non-steem blog link, but with the hash tags). Most of the SP blogs have the two way comment thingy on, so I figure it's a way to introduce "regular" bloggers to "crypto" bloggers in a familiar setting.

I'll have to check out the FB page too - I just started a group "WordPress & SteemPress Bloggers" (surprising, right? LOL), but haven't gotten it really up and running yet. When I do, I'll be sure to reference your page as well.

Sounds great. Let me know when you have it up and running so we can try to get it some more exposure. I'm sure that I know a lot of people with wordpress blogs but have just been waiting for STEEM to fix communities and onboarding to chase after them. I want the place to be ready for the normies before trying to bring in my friends.

I've brought them in when i started 2 years ago but STEEM wasn't very user friendly at all. They didn't last very long with steemit and all the keys. No exposure ect...
Things are getting there with steempress and steempeak so i'm hopeful that this year we will be in a better position to add more regular internet users.

Coolness! I actually just did a post about it...LOL!

I've been in a similar frame of mind, holding off inviting my blogging friends until things were less brain hurty (although if I could figure it out two years ago, there's hope for all normies...😂 ). I think between @steempress-io's referral/onboarding program and the Community structure, pretty soon we'll have all sorts of new faces arriving. Here's to hoping!

That's an easy fix. I set up 20 one day when i was trying to work on a project. All you need to do is sign up. Each to their own though. A lot of people don't like those sites and to be honest i didn't use my account for the first 8 years until i started trying to push my STEEM stuff.
