Things keep moving forward.
As there is a lot of optimism floating around the STEEM blockchain today it a refreshing change to some from the past couple of years. It's amazing how a small increase in price (77.7% this month) can make such a difference.
While we are still a long way off the 0.52c high we saw for the past 12 months there has been a nice steady increase since xmas. It's a reflection of the wider market as bitcoin is once again leading the way as the halvening approaches. Hopefully we can see this continue for a long time to come as interest will peak again going forward.
The best part of renewed interest would be how far STEEM has come in the past two years of struggling through the bear market that has leaned heavily on so many other projects. In contrast to that we have a whole host of new apps and developments compared to when STEEM was riding high the last time.
While the same old flaws of sign-up and content discovery have not been solved, hopefully that can be done with communities and guest accounts as well as some of the apps leading the charge to get people signed up to the chain and avoid the back log we saw before in the heights of the madness.
What we do have going forward is a much improved eco-system and tools to use it. The likes of keychain has been revolutionary to apps and users. Hopefully openseed will have the same effect for building on the chain and more apps hit the point of release.
We are still a long way from bringing in massive amounts of users but we are a lot closer than before. It's just great to see some optimism and how STEEM kept building through the pain.
Lets wait and see how the next month goes.

I feel like this is an opportunity not to waste as we move closer to the halving will bring the pricing and extra funding for projects and interest but we'll need to be ready if we can have openseed, SMT's and resource pools during the time of madness we could open the flood gates, would be really interesting to see how it plays out
That's how I feel too. When the markets gets strong the interest will pick up again so we need to be ready for people to join. A lot of apps have made great development over the past couple of years but on boarding, search tools and messaging are a must to get sorted. Hopefully we get a few more apps as well in the meantime but those are the basics.
