When the video was posted, I didn't know if it was a long trailer for a film to come, whether it was a short film, a series, or what the definition was. And when it was over I spent a few minutes looking over and reading comments to understand, at that time I didn't have facebook and much less twitter to search about, and for a few moments my brain left me in doubt, until I saw that it was just a video for YouTube and no more.

Weight team

Even though it was an independent production, a big name was part of the film. In the art of special effects makeup we have Dean Jones who made Star Trek and X-Men First Class. And in my opinion he did a great job on the Mystic character, played perfectly by actress Fay Kato.

Final Considerations

In a movie that at the beginning you don't know if it's horror, suspense or comedy, and when you finish you see that it can be all 3, depending on what scene you are in, when I watched it the first time it was at dawn and I didn't know what it was about, and the scene of when he goes to talk to Mystic, together with my brain thinking it was a trailer, made me easily believe that it was a horror movie, due to the great performance of Fay Kato.

Por se tratar de um filme curto, não vou elucidar 3 pontos e sim discorrer os pontos que achei interessante trazer, sem obviamente dar spoilers.

Quando o video foi postado, eu não sabia se tratave-se de um trailer longo para um filme que viria, se era um curtametragem, uma série, ou qual era a definição. E quando terminou eu fiquei por alguns minutos procurando sobre e lendo comentários para entender, naquela época eu não tinha facebook e muito menos twitter para procurar sobre, e por alguns momentos meu cérebro me deixou em duvida, até ver que era apenas um video para YouTube e não mais que isso.

Time de peso

Mesmo sendo uma produção independente, um grande nome fez parte do filme. Na arte de maquiagem de efeitos especiais temos Dean Jones que fez Star Trek e X-Men Primeira Classe. E na minha opinião ele fez um ótimo trabalho na personagem Mystic, interpretada perfeitamente pela atriz Fay Kato.

Eu gosto de assistir tudo que tenha uma referência antiga e me faça conhecer uma nova obra ou uma nova arte, e esse trabalho fez isso me levando a conhecer o Compêndio Maleficarum, um compilado de 3 livros de várias fontes, mostrando as operações iníquas e execráveis ​​das bruxas contra a raça humana, e os remédios divinos pelos quais elas podem ser frustradas.

Em um filme que ao começar você não sabe se é de terror, suspense ou comédia, e ao terminar você vê que ele pode ser os 3, dependendo de que cena você está, quando assisti a primeira vez estava de madrugada e eu não sabia do que se tratava, e a cena de quando ele vai conversar com a Mystic, juntamente com meu cérebro achando que era um trailer, me fez facilmente acreditar que se tratava de um filme de terror, devido a grande atuação de Fay Kato.
