Kicking Nerd Butt.png

Hello
I Have been very busy with my day job.
It was wearing me out. But that is not going to stop me from showing up.
Yesterday I joined the Thursday night round table that @jongolson does with @taskmaster4450 and got a lot out of participating.

My take away is was that if your not loving what your doing then make a change.
I am ready to retire from hard ass work and long days so I will be doing what I need to do to make some changes.
I really appreciate the CTP/List Nerds crowd. I have learned a lot from them and will continue.

I have done a good job of showing up this year, Give or take a few weeks that I missed because of work and illness.
I learned early on this year that consistency is the key.
You have to show up every day if possible to keep things rolling and to keep yourself at top of mind.

I got much out of being the center of attention. I don't normally like being in public like that but it was a nice stretch for me and it was good to vent.
I have tried hard to not have excuses but when I get tired my excuses come up more.

I have decided that I will double my efforts and try to work less at my day job and focus more on posting on Hive and building my List.

The other take away that I got is to be clear about my goals everyday. So today I am revising goals and making new plans.

I want to thank @jimmy.adames for being a leader and showing up every day. He has inspired me to keep going. Not to mention the many others in the List Nerds crew.

My goal for this coming week is to post at least one post everyday, Maybe I can do two but we will see, I want to make my goals achievable.
I have a habit of trying to do to much at once.
So I will using S.M.A.R.T. goals again. This means Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time Bound. This is a good way to keep your goals doable.

I am going to start kicking some nerd butt this week.

What are your goals this week? Are they achievable?

I would love to here some feed back about how you keep yourself motivated.

Blessings to all of you.

Hey Tom. Keep it simple brother.

If you can only swing one post a day for now, then make it your best one.

Then see how else you can keep visible. Commenting, responding to - ALL - the comments left for you.

I've managed to keep consistent is by taking advantage of what HIVE offers. For example, throw up a quick video on @threespeak or look through your camera roll and post it up on @liketu and tell your story about it. Doesn't need to be a 1000 words.

In other words, when you are pressed for time, like I know you are; there are ways to keep it consistent and daily.

Of course, we are very lucky to have ListNerds! That helps keep us visible for sure.

You got this @alente

Good to see you again yesterday man. Re-focusing on your goals and continuing to hustle is a smart move. Start building those passive income assets so you can step back eventually. I'm looking forward to seeing your goals/progress report.
My half year goals/report I will try and release tomorrow. !CTP

Thank you for your comment.
You are also a great example of consistency. This is why you are coming up in the ranks so quick.
I love your posts.

Thanks for checking it out. I am probably going to do another Thirty day challenge on Hive. Plus 1 success has been a great thing for me. I hope you enjoy it.

Sounds awesome, Tom. I saw the show last night and it was very good. I think it was a good message for a lot of us. At our age the hard labor does not wear off as fast, lol

Ya it was cool but I forgot how public it was and was a little more raw because of that. I get tired much quicker now so the labor is not as easy. on the other hand I think I kept in good shape most of my life because of the hard work.
I think I just need to find a good balance.

This is brilliant, making time for doing the things you love is important. I hope the transition out of the 9 to 5 and into full-time what you wish is swift and wonderful.

With creative writing being at the forefront of what I do, it's not possible for me to get content out daily. There are parts that are more challenging to write and get my head wrapped around.

It is a great way to go about it though in general, and wishing you all the best with your SMART journey!

I have never considered my self a writer at all until I started a blog and I discovered that I was really bad. I have gotten better since then. I have not tried creative writing other than what I do on hive.
Thanks for the reply.

Your blog posts have been great! Creative writing is a different method altogether. It's not for everyone.

Ya that is the challenge. I made a commitment to myself to always show up this year and so far I have been very consistent since January.
So far so good.
