Community is key!

bitcoin.pngMy favorite part about steem is not the upvotes or steem I earn. Although, that is a pretty sweet benefit for doing what I'd be doing anywhere. What really does it for me is the community. Sure, we all have our own thing and our own tribes we flock to. It's a natural thing to gravitate towards the familiar. I do this too. I've also gotten out of my comfort zone and met some people I may not otherwise have met.
One of those is my new friend Jen @pixiepost. She is warm, kind and full of this infectious energy. But, make her mad and she will pixie stomp© you!
A bit ago, we were chatting in a discord channel. I mentioned I saw a quote on Twitter I really loved and one that resonated with me. "Bitcoin is a peaceful protest" 5 simple words that struck a chord deep inside me. I'd never really given it much thought. To me, BTC was an almost imaginary currency. It's value an arbitrary number. I also thought of it as something I would never own. I know there are bits of a bitcoin that are easily obtainable.
Now I'm thinking about that quote. If done right, BTC and crypto as a whole are incredibly liberating. Countries that may be subject to evil and corrupt governments, can have a population that slowly invests in cryptocurrency. This would no longer trap them at the whims and mercy of those that would use the money to oppress them. How amazing it would be to see within a generation.
I know there are problems to be sorted out. But I believe it's a good start and needs to get rolling sooner rather than later.
I wasn't sure where this was going when I stared at the blinking prompt. Oh right! Back to my friend Jenn. She took time out of her day. The top part is the quote I mentioned. The bottom half and design is all her doing.
If bitcoin is a peaceful protest then "Steem is a serene solution"™ pixie
Thanks, Jenn! I love it

No problem just want the Jenn to get all the credit. She did a similar thing with something I said in discord a couple of months ago.

Might be bitcoin is a peaceful protest but there are governments who send the police over to beat the crap out of you if you use it, just like the EU does with the yellow vests.

It is a good one for the #thoughtfuldailypost

Yeah the Steem community is really great @athomewithcraig, and Jenn is awesome, and with the help of the community you are also growing a lot as a person, and you take on challanges that you never thought you would do before, like making videos on Dtube for example.

If you haven't made a video there yet, if you stay active you most likely will, and that step will make you grow even more, plus it's also quite rewarding money wise too.

Just keep learning and keep growing, and you will soon master everything you didn't even dream you could, and the Steem community will be there to cheer you on.

Stay Awesome!
