Games people play now...

Gamification is a big buzz word today. Everyone is trying to gain an edge, especially in traffic exchanges.
These can be collecting letters to spell out bonus words, or a dungeon crawler like VTG. It's a nice diversion from all the ads and whatnot. Sites like CTP do it in the form of collectible badges and scavenger hunts.
Steem and the blockchain overall are no exception to this.

to coin dozers to cryptokitties. Even the crypto faucets are using games as well. I don't see it as a bad thing either. If it brings more people here, that's great. The wider the adoption of blockchain tech and crypto, the better off we will all be.
I am all for a decentralized money system where people cannot freeze my assets essentially on a whim.
The coin faucets I use all use some type of game to award free bitcoins. It's not a lot, but it certainly adds up. Especially when you consider all you need do it click a checkbox and "roll" for your award. They all promise up to $200 in BTC an hour. I haven't seen above 0.00000020 per turn.
