I am learning so much

Morning everyone,

bigthumbsup2.png

I just want to give a giant thumbs up this morning. Too everyone. Thank you! For everything.

I had a really step learning curve yesterday.

@brittandjosie really pushed me, pushed me to learn. Pushed me to learn about Witness.

I really don't have time to go in depth of what I learned about Witness on Steem but I will try and give a brief summery of what I learned. After reading and reading and seeing the same thing repeated I kinda understand why people plagiariser stuff. I wont! lol

To me Witness's on Steem, and it is very important to remember Steem is NOT Steemit (we been hearing that a lot over the last few days), are the core, the foundation of the Steem blockchain. I wonder if they are even more important than the people that are here everyday. But it is kinda like a chicken and egg thing I guess. But without the Witness's running nodes and producing blocks for the chain none of us would be able to do what we do everyday. Kinda important eh.

So what do Witness's do? They run servers, that are the backbone of the Steem Blockchain. They keep everything running 24/7, 365.25 (yes .25 days) a years. Apparently there are many many Witness's and the top 20 are the most important. I may go into technical details in another post about it later.

It was pointed out to me that I was only voting for 3 Witness's out of 30 votes that we all have. Well I do not have a clue or time at the moment to research 30 people to see if they are worth my vote. Just a side note, Witness's do get paid in Steem Power to run their servers. So what was I going to do to make my votes useful and not waisted by not being used.

So again @brittandjosie to the rescue. (https://steemit.com/witness/@brittandjosie/did-you-do-your-witness-voting-yet)

I decided to give my voting power over to proxy. In the great blog post above they talk about @blockbrothers . I used them, I assigned my votes via proxy. They really seem to be in the know, and know what is going on. So with people I have come to trust, I took the leap of faith and gave over my voting for them to use on my behalf.

To sum up, what I learned yesterday is the importance of voting for Witness's and what they do for us. I highly recommend that you do the same. Either get really education on the topic and vote yourself or find a trusted partner and give proxy for them to do it for you.

I may do a more techy post about Witness's in the future.

And for my CTP Tribe, we run as a side chain so this is very very important for you all also.

Great capture, but I want to state that i am not pushing to vote for us, ( its highly appreciated ) but vote for witnesses, because that is what is a extra and not everyone is voting their 30. In real life you also choose politicians as a form of civil duty, so also here when you can you must !

Great educational read and indeed its very complex, but when you have friends or people that you trust, ask them for who they are voting. The proxy vote can always be changed, and people can see who they vote for in steemworld.org.

But knowing you there will be a second blog, where and how so i will shut up
