The need to push on

Every now and then I make myself laugh with my graphic. This one did that. It sure does represent pushing and the shopping cart sure does represent the craziness of people hoarding toilet paper. I work in a town of about 20,000 people and the grocery stores are all or almost all out of toilet paper. I live in a town of about 3,000. So we have a little grocery store. I went there last night looking for some ground beef (on sales) and of course they were sold out. But I did not expect my little store to be out of arse wipe. Here is a pic.

So why? Well I did some reading and well it is not because COVID-19 gives you the shits. Psychologists apparently believe it is one of those things that people can control. It is a cleaning, even if self cleaning product. By buying it people feel like they have some control over their lives amongst the trouble in the world. Kinda makes sense. Still find it funny.

I have found, well not have really found, because I have been doing it for over seven months, something better that I can control: CTP Talk, Steem, and Click Track Profit. These three are all under my control. I blog everyday, I let people know my thoughts on the world and the crypto world everyday. I get to get things of my chest. I get to introduce people to Click Track Profit. It is fantastic. Sure I cannot not wipe my bum with it.... lmao.

With all that is going on in the world I thought I would try and be a little light hearted this morning. But I am going to give some local updates on COVID-19 also. So I am reading the news as I type this and going to give some tib-bits.

Here in Newfoundland we have regulated gas prices. They are set by the government and chance weekly. At midnight on Wednesday nights. Now the drop in world oil prices is not good for our government as we depend on oil revenues but it is good for the consumer. Just read that due to the changes in the markets they are stepping in and dropping the price tonight. Dropping it another 14 cents after a drop of 4.5 cents a couple days ago. We are going to be at a buck ($1.00) a litre gas for the first time in years. Good for us little people.

A quote from our head of health Dr. Janice Fitzgerald says "panic-buying toilet paper not necessary, but cancelling events good idea" You can really see the toilet paper theme. lol

So as of this writing there have been no "Confirmed cases" of COVID-19 here on our island out in the middle of the North Atlantic. But I am totally impressed with governments response.

62 people here have been tested and 46 tests have come back negative. Still waiting on other test results. A low number. As of right now the government and health have only been testing people they have been in known contact with infected people aboard. Testing center(s) are being set up from next week so I am sure that number will go up.

I could go on and on but going to slow down here. Basically the Provence has been almost shut down. Even our major ski hill, Marble Mountain is closed. If you are interested you can read about it in the new link above.
