Money Saving Tip #5

Never pay checking (or savings) account fees.

I hate bank fees.

With so many free checking account plans available, there’s no reason to pay a fee.

And if the bank happens to charge you one, ask them to reverse the fee or take your business to another bank.

My mom recently had to put $500 into one of her Credit Union accounts so they wouldn't charge her a fee, and she couldn't just close the account or move it to another place.

She has to maintain that $500 or more balance or they will charge the fee, I forget how much she said but it seemed like it was more than a normal bank checking account fee.

I was getting free checking when I had automatic deposit from work but that ended when I was no longer getting that paycheck. I changed jobs and then eventually had to quit for various reasons. But I got direct deposit for the money Social Security is giving me after my heart problem so I'm back on the free checking plan.

I would also like to mention credit cards here because someone mentioned only paying cash when shopping on one of my previous posts. I do not have a credit card but for those that do, try to get one with a lower interest rate and pay the whole balance when it's due before they add interest on if there is an interest fee. Also, see if you can get a card with no annual fee. Some like to charge $50 per year more or less. If you have more than one credit card, try paying more on the one with the highest fees or highest balance until that one is paid off and then pay as much as you can on the next largest balance and so on until you've paid them all off.

I've read so many tips things I don't remember when I got most of them but you can do a search on any search engine for money saving tips like anything else you want to search for and find tons of sites like - https://www.doughroller.net/smart-spending/51-painless-money-saving-tips/

Remember, the more money you don't spend on things, the more money you will have to invest in BTC, Steem, CTP, LEO and other crypto that you want to invest in. :-)
