IAAC - Day 137 Any type of Pumpkin you could dream of to pick from

avatar

Today is Saturday, October 16th and I am happy to be alive.

This is the first full weekend that Sweet Berry Farm is open for the Fall Season. They have pumpkins of all kinds. White ones, gray ones, small ones, large ones and all different shaped ones. It was very crowded because everyone wanted to get pumpkins.

There is even a corn stalk maze, bounce area, craft area and animals to pet for the kids. You could spend hours here selecting you pumpkins, having fun or just people watching.

In the fields to the side and front, they are starting to plant strawberry plants. These will have nice juicy berries for picking next Spring.

Wow. A lot of Pumpkins.

Is that a marketplace?

Or, the farmers are just harvesting and keeping there temporarily?

It was a lot of fun however since it was the first weekend open, it was packed and I do not like crowds. The lines were long for checkout so we will be going back during the week when the crowds are smaller.

Happy you had a nice time despite the crowds and long lines. Roy and I do our best to avoid crowds and long lines as well. Definitely not a fan! Nice to have the advantage of being able to go during the week when it's not so crazy! We do the same as well. Have a great start to your week!

Yes, it was a lot of fun. However it was crowded. We will probably go back mid week when there are not as many people so we can pick a few out and not have to stand in long lines to check out.

This is a start of a beautiful season, and I pray for a bountiful harvest.
We don't grow pumpkins here in Nigeria, maybe because the weather is unfavorable for it survival. I will like to know how it taste

I do not know how to describe the flavor but it is very popular. People really like it made into pies with cinnamon

I'm guessing there's a rush for pumpkins because of Halloween. In this time of Coronavirus, I think it's great to see people returning to a resemblance of what life used to be prior to that. Thanks for sharing with us. Stay safe
