It may all be a bit bumpy in the short run, but I have to think that the greater story here is that this fork is a victory of sorts for truly decentralized structures, as well as for the active Steem community members.

Agreed. This could be the greatest blockchain ever conceived. But if it falls into the old habits of Steem, I suspect another hard fork down the road LOL
