Searching for Focus
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Phil. 4:8 KJV
Everyone struggles with distraction at times--or, if you are not neurotypical, you struggle with obsession/hyperfocus on one thing to the exclusion of all else. For me, autumn makes it worse--and better!
Confused? Well, shorter days remind me winter is coming, giving me a push to get my knitting inventory up for the holiday season. At the same time, I am distracted by concern (terror?) over the growing socialism, nihilism, and absurdity of an American election year in the midst of a PsyOp (covid overreaction.)
Time to calm my mind and think on those things that really matter. Care for my family. Go to church. Knit everyone some cozy things for winter. Love my neighbors--even the difficult ones, because I know I am sometimes the difficult one.
Grow your business the same way. In the midst of all the new, exciting things out there, stay focused on building relationships and offering real value.
