#3StepsNoExcuses Day 25: What Are Your Three Things?

Today we are invited to focus on three things that we do well in our business, to think about the impact we have on the readers of our email letters, and to work on our mindset. In other words, today's tasks require quite a bit of thought and introspection. No more monkeying around. Here's my take...

Step 1 CTP: Your Three Wise Monkeys

In today's video Jon urges us to focus on three key strengths, or skills, that we bring to our online business and to think of them as our "vital functions" - the things we should spend most of our time doing, or the things that define the mission or direction of our business.

In my case, I must admit that I haven't thought much about what my "three vital functions" would be until today. But I suppose they would be:

  1. Content creation, especially blog posts and video content.

  2. Setting up email campaigns and training courses.

  3. Creating digital products and services such as A Thousand A Month, and EliteDownlineBuilder.com...

Step 2 Listnerds: Quit Your Monkeying Around And Add Some Value

You still going all out with the join my program stuff in your emails every time? Try offering some value, so much value that your subscribers look forward to seeing your email in their inbox!

I'm building a new list right now and it's interesting to see which emails get the best open rate, and then, which ones get the best clickthrough rate (CTR).

My subscribers expect me to send them information about how to earn or generate crypto without needing to invest any out-of-pocket cash. The email that has the highest open rate and highest CTR leads with this subject line:

{Name}, 5 Easy Ways To Earn Bitcoin Every Day On Just ONE Site!

The email invites the reader to view a YouTube video that I made about the site in question (FreeBitco.in). It also includes a direct (affiliate) link to the site. In the signature there is a link to my blog, DavidHurley.net and in the P.S. there is a link to Webtalk where people can send me private messages.

I think it works because the primary link is to my YouTube channel, and YouTube is such a familiar brand that it is completely non-threatening and so offers hardly any friction to clicking through.

The video offers good value, I believe, as I explain in detail how to earn satoshi on FreeBitco.in beyond simply clicking the faucet button once an hour!

Wait a minute, you can judge for yourself by checking it out here:

Step 3 Plus1Success: Get Rid of Your Monkey Mind

Just when it sounds as if Jon is going to pull the full "Law of Attraction" schtick on us he swings off into another tree and begins to talk about "Think and Grow Rich" - but it's only a feint! This lesson is leading us towards another classic, "As A Man Thinketh" by James Allen, and also takes us back to the origin of the title, Proverbs chapter 23, verse 7:

"As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."

Some time ago I started reading the book but for some reason it didn't really click with me at the time. So I think I will listen to the audiobook version, several of which are available on YouTube.

Here's a classic reading by Earl Nightingale. The recording quality is not as good as more recent ones, but what's not to like about that voice!

Cheers for now,

David Hurley
