I Love a good Hows ya Going

Since coming onto the Block Chain I have found some great communities and engaged with them.

One thing I have found is that you can write a post about something and it will possibly get a few up votes but does not necessarily get an y comments.

What is this about – do people just randomly up vote posts for the sake of it.

Getting people to make great comments on your posts , I have noticed only comes from a couple of communities, which sends me the message that there are some communities that take the word community as the main focus for being on a social platform.

Now what I have noticed is that the people that up vote posts without commenting, yes get a curatorial fee for doing so but are missing out on so much more.

Being able to converse with people is what makes a community strong. Commenting on a post means that you have actually read what has been said and are able to engage from an informed point of view.

Commenting on posts also come with a fee so it’s a win win all around.

Now comes the other part, if you intelligently comment on others posts and enter into a discussion with them then they will respond to your comment and a dialogue is opened up. This will also result in your comments being up voted and up voting the comments on a post is another win win.

So when you up vote a post, make sure you read it, make a comment and read the other comments, up vote the other comments and comment back.

This is all good engagement and will not only increase your wealth and voting power but will increase your network and community.

For me I am working on expanding the community – communities that I am a part of and through this expansion I know that I will gain great wealth of information, Knowledge and ultimately the accumulation of Financial wealth.

Step by step he slowly creeps, Friendships formed will always keep.

I aim to engage with as many people as I can that create great community content and engage with others by sharing their journey.

I will be up-voting posts that I believe are great community sharing posts everyday

I will select one post a day to get a 100% up vote from me and will post this banner as well as comment on that post.

I almost wanted to troll you a bit and vote but not comment haha.

Yeah that’s the tough part about it here sometimes. There’s a lot of votes going around but sometimes there’s not a lot of comments. Some find it not enough effort to comment so they just vote to get curation and move along. I do it depending on how much time I have so I get it. My main commenting hours are early morning and late evening like right now.

I would like to see you join the hive engagement league, it’s a great place to find like minded people. I believe I remember his username correctly but it’s @abh12345 who is Asher but he’s run a few excellent weekly leagues like the power up league before and the latest iteration is the engagement league. He runs SQL scripts and pulls peoples info out and you get ranks and points based on your engagement and other factors.

The posts and leagues like that is where you can find so many excellent and like minded people, it’s awesome. I engage with a few of them and I’ve barely scratched the surface!

Communities I tend to not bother with are ones like gems. That ones a waste, it seems like circle jerk voting and if you’re not in the circle you don’t get squat.

OCD is a fantastic community to post in as well, there’s lots of great posts there that usually get a decent amount of comments. There is also LeoFinance which is focused on finances of course but they are all great people who talk with each other.

hello @cmplxty

Thanks for the tips re communities , I will check out the Engagement League it sound like a good place to be

I am starting to get a feel for those that have value and those that do not :)

I believe that possibly a lot of up-votes come from curation trails, which I am unsure of as you are at the mercy of the person who created the trail ,

I might write a post about it and see what peoples response are :)

Hi @improbableliason

I found you due to the mention below - using Ginabot is a good way to keep tabs on who's talking about you, and it generally leads to a comment.

Communities are a good place to start to grow engagement on your posts, and doing plenty of commentating on the posts of others will help. It takes time though, and votes are usually prioritised, cause money.

See you on the Engagement League? :)

There is a lot to take in when you start out for sure. Plenty of time though too :)

I've added you to my list, the post is out tomorrow and each Sunday. Cheers!

...and then you start to read ALL the posts, and not just that, you start to read comments on the posts, and you suddenly, have no life... 🤣

Maybe, I'm joking... but not completely... :) You are getting into these "things" very fast, which makes me even more confused about how some other people can't get it that they have to TAKE ACTION and create a blog post daily!

I would agree with the comment of @cmplxty about the Engagement League, where you can see how crazy are some people... lol... Also, you can check out @bala41288 posts about Top 30 Organic Engagement through Comments, where he is doing DAILY updates about the people that engage the most... (I think that you will pop-up on that list very soon :) )

Cheers!

Thank you @ph1102 - yes, I have pretty much spent most of my day today reading posts and commenting , lol, It is Saturday for me after all.

I have been encouraged by a number of people now and want to be as effective and consistent as I can be with my engagement

The Engagement League looks good and I will also look at @bala41288 :) Because I have so much more Free Time , lol

I wouldn’t go crazy with it, do what you can while you can but don’t get into spending all day every day on here unless that’s your plan. The growth and engagement will be there each time you log in so let it happen when it’s right but don’t get sucked into the obsession otherwise you’ll burn out and hate it after a while. For me it’s typically twice a day, in the morning and at night.
