Reach Out & Get To Know Different Tribes On Steem

avatar

I'm extremely grateful for the CTP Tribe!

I believe that this little community of entrepreneurs are some of the best people on Steem, and across the affiliate marketing industry! It's a tribe filled with thoughtful leaders, savvy marketers and people that...In fact put PEOPLE first!

And yesterday I was reminded of that inside our tribe's Discord server...

One of the biggest contributors in ClickTrackProfit has been @PH1102 and his comment made me realize what a HUGE opportunity we have here on Steem...And also how I've been failing at realizing it....

You see, CTP Talk may have a few dozen regular contributors to the tribe...But there are thousands of active Steemians, creating and engaging everyday. And if we want more people to come into our community...We need to reach out to them first!

And like I said, I've been so focused on CTP, I've missed the boat when it comes to taking part in the amazing tribes on Steem.

This is actually a fantastic lesson in business as well...And here's why.

On Monday night I hosted a webinar where I went over my 5-500-5000 Formula...And what is the first lesson I usually teach?

The need for daily engagement!

The problem is, I've been ONLY engaging in my circle....

And if I want to bring more value to my tribe and my community, I think I owe it to them to...Reach out! And get to know more of the amazing people here on Steem.

There are amazing things taking place in @Steem.Leo ! @ReggaeSteem is crushing it. @SportsTalkSocial is something I enjoy....Why aren't I doing more with these amazing tribes?

Here's the business nugget...

You need to reach out. Everyday!

Remember that like attracts like and people are attracted to 'action takers' in business. If you just talk to the same 5 people ONLY every day, you are missing a huge opportunity.

Now let's be SUPER clear on this...All the 'reaching out' must be done ALONG with maintaining the level of engagement and commitment you have within your own tribe. Because if your community thinks you have abandoned them, your 'trust level' will slide...

People do business with those they know, like and TRUST...So please do not think I'm suggesting you 'leave for greener pastures'. This is all about BUILDING attraction to your business and community. Simply by showing others you can add value to their tribe as well.

We still fly under the radar in the crypto space, and I believe Steem is at it's best when we are supporting each other. And if we can build each other up, engage with different tribes and attract like minded people...We will have a bright future!

So I encourage you, don't just get into your comfort zone / tribe and stay in your corner. Get out there and meet the other amazing creators on Steem...

Great Post @jongolson It is all about extended families and the nurturing we do to maintain the network.

That's exactly how I feel about it, extended families. Steem to me, is much bigger than a tribe or two. It's all of us.

Yes good Nugget and advice.
I am already following a few of the tribes you mentioned and I found it is a good source of other related subjects etc for one to read and earn other tribes tokens to add to the piggy bank or crypto bank whatever one might call it.

For sure, and what's awesome is how each tribe is unique and has something amazing to offer it's members.

Big shout out to @iamraincrystal, @bradleyarrow and @justclickindiva who are big examples of getting out there engaging with other people! Trying as well to go out but ''there's no place like home'' :)
Great post!
Thank you for the reminder 🍀❤🦄

Thanks for the mention, Jon... And, as I said on Discord, we have to go "outside", but on the other side, it's important to support our people when they need help and motivation...

So, I would say that we have to search for some kind of "balance" between those two engagements... I would try to re-adjust my comments, or simply make 3-5 comments more on posts outside the CTP tribe.. ;)

Yeah that's what I'm going to get working on myself....5 engagements outside of CTP, on top of CTP ;)

Well I had to up vote that. ;) @ph1102 is so right. I have been trying to get to other tribes. Red fish rally helped. And I think my #caturday pics help and my video blogging I think really helps.

This is the lesson you learn from your own experience but never forget that time is a limited resource.

It doesn't take any time to engage with people. Took me about 15 seconds to write this response ;)

We all have 1440 minutes a day, where we allocate it determines our success.

I like the 5/500/5000 as I'm a numbers guy. Speaking of numbers, as a new steem guy I was told 5% on comment and 10% on posts. Agree?

Doesn't really matter on the percentage unless you have a bunch of Steem / CTP Power....If I find a post that I really enjoy, I give them a 100% vote. Most of my curation on CTP is at 50%....But for comments, I do around 15-20% upvote.

Depends though on how much your vote is worth.

Interesting, I've got a few days before my votes are worth anything. I like clean numbers, maybe 50 curation - 25 comments? Just tossing it around before I go live. Since I have you, I have steempress set but that's obviously going to bypass ctptalk. Stupid question?

Great advice Jon, and one that I do follow on most days, about half my comments go outside of the CTPtalk tribe, and many of them are interested even if not many has taken action yet, though I have answered some questions about CTP several of them in private chats too, keep up your great work and stay awesome.

Awesome Post, This makes a Lot of Sense if we don't get our of our Comfort Zone how can we Grow. Staying in the same circle you can only go so far.

Yeah and the more we reach out, the more we will attract others to what we are doing. Win-win!

As entrepreneurs and marketers here on STEEM, we have been working with steem-leo but that is about it.

Which active tribes would you recommend when it comes to business, marketing and incorporating blockchain into traditional business strategies?

Thanks in advance!

That's a good question....Steem Leo for sure, it's arguably the king of the tribes right now. But as for business centric, other than CTP, not really sure.

Good bit of homework for me, to go poke around and find out though!

Dear @jongolson

And if we want more people to come into our community...We need to reach out to them first!
The problem is, I've been ONLY engaging in my circle....

Absolutely agree with you. The problem is that most people seem to think that they will just create some content (maybe even quality one) and people will find them and reach out to them. And it surely doesn't work this way.

Perhaps it's time to expand your circle? perhaps we could find a way to collaborate? I'm managing @project.hope (Www.projecthope.pl) and we're focusing on topics related to blockchain, technology, economy, business etc.
Topics related to affiliate marketing is surely something we may be interested.

People do business with those they know, like and TRUST...

You nailed it. Trust is very important ingridient and most people seem to still ignore it.

Good read, upvoted already,
Yours, Piotr

I'm always a fan of affiliate marketing projects, created CTP Token just for that :)

+1 one comes to mind... Reach out to one new person each day. I must admit though... I don't always get the chance to do this daily. However anytime I'm here on Steemit I make it part of my routine to reach out to at least 1 new Steemian with a comment and a follow, Usually this results in a comment and a follow back. The 5, 500, 5000 plan is a good one. Thanks for the nuggets.

Once you get into the habit, it's awesome...Nothing better than seeing those Steem tokens stacking up every day :)
