Why You Still Need to Learn SEO-- Foundation for Getting Found Online

Happy Friday! Had my Pinterest Master Class on Wednesday. The theme of that session was how to get found online outside of social media. Surprising as it is, there are still people who are not on social media but still want to find what you are selling. Where do they go? Well, to the search engines of course. Pinterest is a visual search engine and knowing how to properly use keywords is essential for getting found there and pretty much everywhere else online.

Our instructor, coach, mentor, Chef Katrina shared some super cool SEO tools during the class. A couple are free, namely Google Adwords and a tool from Neil Patel called Ubersuggest. https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/

The next new tool (new to me, anyway) I learned about is Keywords Everywhere which is a browser add on for Firefox and Chrome. It isn't free but it doesn't require a subscription either. You pay as you go by purchasing credits. 1 credit =1 keyword https://keywordseverywhere.com/

The very coolest one though is Answer the Public. https://answerthepublic.com/
This one allows limited free searches per day and the paid version is not inexpensive. However it is a great tool to use for finding topics for blog posts and other content creation. You don't need to sign up for an account if you're using it for free. When you put in your search term it shows a graphic of all the questions your target market is asking around that topic.

Enter your search query. I used blockchain. Then click on Get Questions.

Here is the result! Lot's of questions!

So you could build all kinds of content around those questions and never be at a loss for topics to discuss. Very cool, right?

If you don't want the graphic you can switch over to data. This is what that looks like:

So, you can have the data in whatever way that suits your needs or preferences.
Well that's all for today! Have a great rest of your day or night depending on where you are.
See you tomorrow.
