Using The Right Tags And Communities Is Important
It's worth the time to do a little research on different tags and communities that match your content when you are posting on Hive.
No matter what you want to base your content on I'm sure there is someone on Hive that is into the same things. There is literally communities for everything and if there isn't you can easily create one. Not all of them but many of them even have their own token for the community so you not only earn Hive on a post but you earn the community token also.
All of these communities have a tag they use so the post shows up where the other members or people researching related information can find and read your posts. It's pretty important to keep your content relevant to the communities your are posting for and the tags you are using. Some of these places will get you down votes and you really don't want that to happen if possible. Not to mention if the content doesn't match most of the others are not going to be interested in it and may kind of mentally block you out as someone they are not interested in.
When you use the right tags according to your content and you post information people can relate to, followed by upvoting and commenting on other related posts you will get way more attention then just using every tag you can think of on every post you do no matter what the content is. It really doesn't make sense to do a movie review in a food community or a finance post in a knitting community, you always want to keep things relevant to the tags and communities your posting to.
Another good use of tags is for tracking down the posts about contests, events, different daily or monthly themes and trending topics. A quick search on Peakd will pull up all the latest post about any tag you are wanting to see. I don't want to pick anyone but I do see many posts where there is no thought about the tags, weather it be not enough tags or irrelevant tags. I think it's worth making sure your tags fit with the content so you can maximize your exposure to your content.
Well said. It is very important to post in the right community and use the appropriate tags. Using every tag that comes to your head wouldn't give you more upvotes, but you e
will definitely be down voted

Did you know you can now buy Rising Star packs with $PIZZA? (9/20)
I think spamming your post with tags will not only not get you more upvotes but get you ignored and you are right down votes also. To many people have no clue or just don't care and use all the same tags no matter what they post.
They obviously do that out of ignorance, because i've seen so many posts guiding users on the right tags to use on posts
I see that Neoxian people getting high upvotes but I stick to the most appropriate tags only. It is fun after all for me although the hive price makes it really rewarding nowadays ...
Hive has been looking really good lately, I think it even got up to a dollar last night. It will be interesting to see what it does next, I know a few other crypto's have been on a run lately also.
Nice tips regarding the tags and choosing the right communities. They work if being used consistently. I'd suggest the following tags for you.
#hivepizza #leofinance #cent
Thanks I use leofinance sometimes but I can probably use it on more of my posts but the other two I will try to use I was not aware of those. So many tags it can be hard to keep up with them all. lol
