Hello @chesatochi - Knowing that you have started to build your list and placed a capture form on your blog, Promoting your blog is good.
Having said that I believe that you should create a Lead Capture page and get people to sign up for your list through that, then you tell them about the blog and each post you make on your blog you also create an email to your list from this, this way you will also create an email series from your blog posts.
Hope that makes sense :)
I finally start to see the power of a lead capture page and to build a funnel. I will make my first one this week, very busy with my crypto kid. ;)
