My Thoughts for Thanksgiving

Hello Fellow Steemians,

We, in the US, are celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 28th, and I wanted to take a few minutes to express my thoughts and wishes for this year. I have much to be thankful for!

First and foremost, as a Christian man, I am thankful for a God that loves me and provides for me on a daily basis.
P.S. He loves you too!

This is a picture of 2 bracelets from my church that I wear every day.

The first one says "I AM GRATEFUL FOR...". A reminder to be grateful.

The second one is a series of 5 symbols that describes the Gospels in a nut shell. The first arrow represents Jesus coming to earth to as our redeemer. The cross represents Him dying for our sins. The arch represents Him rising from the grave. The up arrow represents His ascension to Heaven and the last arrow is to remind us that He will return for us.

I am also thankful for:

My wife who has put up with me through thick and thin for over 30 years.

My 3 kids who are now adults and doing well. My son, Shawn and my 2 daughters, Megan and Pamela. Their spouses Andi, Mike and Cody respectively.

My 4 remaining siblings. Unfortunately, we lost our youngest brother this spring, but I am thankful for the memories of him. I am also thankful for my many nieces and nephews.

My friends.

My Pastor and my Church that help me with my spiritual guidance.

A roof over my head and a job to help provide for my needs.

A vehicle that gets me where I need to go.

Food in my stomach.

Clothes in my closet.

And so many more blessing too numerous to mention!

I ask that you take a few minutes this holiday season to stop and remember all those blessings in your life!

Happy Thanksgiving,
Steven Ackerman
