Like Guns Ablaze...

avatar

*I'll add photo later.

Are you treating marketing with the gun slingin approach?

You know... shooting 🔫 until nothing is moving?

Talking to anyone and everyone, even if they give you the stink eye..😕?

Marketing. It's not just posting stuff and hope it gets engagement. Nope its about sharing what truly helped you and letting them see what you're all about.

We need a routine to systematically test different marketing methods.

Tell ya the truth... I am not a very habitual or consistent in what I do.

I get lazy. "oh, I'll do that later" Then it gets added to my list of things to do tomorrow.

I am creating a schedule/routine to help me stick to my to-do list and not cramming it so full I get overwhelmed or cant complete it all without burning out altogether.

What actually needs to get done everyday?

Well, we need to be seen as an authority... someone who knows what they're doing. A content creation block of time is added to my list.

Meeting new people is also very important, so that goes before the content for social media reasons 😉

What else?

Mindset. Training.... I think that sums it up.

  1. Mindset
  2. Networking.
  3. Content Creation.
  4. Training.

Do you think I left anything out? What would/do you add to your routine?

Soo... I got carried away with reading:

I'm on my way towards finding Luke!

Have an amazing night!

I agree, @elizabetamt. Even on a busy day, it is possible to upvote and comment on other people's posts.

It's very difficult to maintain a full daily routine for your online business when you have a job and other responsibilities. During the busy times of the year I run a minimalist daily routine for my online business - and I don't always succeed in getting that done either!

One thing I would add to your list is "promotion". I try to send out a couple of emails to safelists/viral mailers every day.

Yess, mailers, tes, and other search engines are on my list after... thank you for reminding me to add those though! As we grow, we'll find ways to improve efficiency and what methods or to-do items are really whats needed or not. Keep moving day by day!

Oh boy do I know what you mean. Overwhelm is a REAL thing. I talk a little about that in my video yesterday...I get that feeling quite often...

So, I have tweaked my daily schedule to accommodate what's important & what I can work on after wards. Curating is definitely something on the list. I put time aside every morning to do that & do my own content creation later in the day. If I don't have breaks in between to do offline stuff (or take naps :)), I tend to burn out.

It's basically listening to your body when you need a break, too. All about balance...not always easy but necessary. I change things up quite often lol.

The key is showing up every day, even if you don't create. Just engaging & build relationships is important (as you know) & continue to inspire you.

So glad to see you back & hope you will be around more! :) Sending love & pixie dust your way! 💖

Quite busy with the start of the classes I teach. Lots of new homeschoolers because people are not digging the mess the public schools call "virtual learning." I teach weekly enrichment classes that help parents in the trickier subjects like science and advanced math and literature.

I don't have a long daily task list (as yours also isn't that long), but some of the listed things take a lot of time... So, it can be overwhelming sometimes...

Nice post! Thanks for sharing!

It used to be because I lived in so-called "organized chaos" and my mind was that way as well. I did a ton of inner work last year and it has helped my mind stay clear and not run a million thoughts a minute. Content creation takes me the longest. Thanks for your input @ph1102

It gets easier through time... When you get in a routine, it will go smoother... ;)

Thanks for sharing your list of things to do and thoughts about it, as to myself I have way to many things on mine, really need to delegate more work lol, but it's a work in progress which will hopefully work out in the end.

These are the "must do" things. Then I do more advertising, posts etc if I have time.

Good post, with some good points. It is good to work out a daily routine of things to do, then get more systematic and also more control of time spent.

Great point @chmoen! I think determining what actually needs to be done is tough sometimes, but when you find what works for you... thats when the day runs like butta' hehe.

It's good to have a manageable daily routine that you are able to complete and still have some Self time to keep your mind from going crazy. Looks like you are doing a great job, I know how this can be, I tend to take on a little to much often. lol

Yess! I either don't have enough on my list or go overboard... getting that daily routine down is crucial to me... making progress everyday in some way lol

@techbizgeek you are so right a schedule is very important and especillay if you have consistency issues. I have that issue also so I have been slowly adding to my schedule each day. It helps you to know when you're getting overwhelmed. And it's not easy when you have a day job too.

As for what else I would add to my list is writing emails regularly. This is import cause when life happens and you have to cut something off your list for a day or two, you already have your emails lined up and ready to go and you won't miss your normal connecting with those on your list.

That is so true about emails! You can even turn your social media posts and a snippet of blog/hive posts to your emails. Learned that tip from @jongolson!

Acknowledging that we have a problem is the first step! Now it's time to take action! We'll get a little better every day. It takes 90 something consecutive days to make something a habit. #accountability.

Don't do today what you can put off til tomorrow ... that is my moto for today. I am off to a late start and more to do than I have time to do them, but happy to read your great post Bonnie @techbizgeek.

If I put something for later, it gets too late to do that. Doing things on time works for me. I set a time boundary, before that time, I have to do it. It works fine.
Thank you @techbizgeek for sharing this.

Good start! You could upload images via hive.blog then copy and paste them on CTPtalk. That should work 😉👍🏼 I do that sometimes 😁😁 Happy midweek!
