Day seven. Wow! I have now completed a week! How amazing indeed! Today I chose the prompt "transformed."

Let me then share with you a horror story. This one is nightmarish. The worse part is it's true to life. But, the story isn't over yet. It's still a work in progress. It's a commitment and a lifestyle. I'm talking about my project to declutter and refurbish our tiny flat. I have been at it for a year now. It will take me a few more months, perhaps another year, but I'm just happy to be seeing progress.

The cover photo was what the middle room looked like more than a year ago. I will share some photos to show how it was transformed. I'm proud of myself for the commitment that I took to get this far.

The process was long to go from one step to the next one. It was tedious as well. Most folks would have given up easily. But no, I have had it with clutter! For once, I want some living space.. not storage space.

It took a lot of time. More importantly, it took a lot of courage to face the problem. What made the transformation possible was a change of mindset, a total paradigm shift. Giving in to that voice in my head shouting, "Enough with clutter!!! You're bigger and stronger than this!!!"

A tiny part of me thought it was impossible to take on such a gargantuan task. But another tiny part kept hoping and dreaming that it would become a reality. It still does. The work is far from over.

This last photo was from a few months back. More improvements have been added slowly. More are still waiting to be done. Time is the biggest hurdle, as there is real life to contend with. I'm happy to say these are all DIY efforts on my part. It's not easy, but it's definitely not impossible. When I look back at the old photos, I wonder how we ever lived in such a state. Yaiks! At least, now I could say we are transformed.
