Jon, I support your view of downvoting. Personally, in my lay-person view, I see that action as a form of bullying, potentially trolling, and perhaps even engaging in hateful activity. If Steem was more centralized like Facebook or Twitter, those aggressive downvoters would be held in contempt of the terms and conditions, and removed. Reminds me of a tyrant I worked for years ago: “my way or the highway”. A few months after I left, he went into receivership. Yep, alarm bells time. I'm hoping y/our stance will encourage dialogue leading to consensus on how downvoting can be managed. I support in principle downvoting, just not hateful and meaningless downvoting.

As for SBI, yes please continue to support that awesome facility. In effect, SBI replaces the need for whales and other senior steemians to vote on newfish, meaning their votes can go to more profitable returns and we all win from them doing that just as long as we newfish can get some crumbs via SBI. Just makes perfect sense to me!

Great news re IPN and the ease of use and set-up. Blain needs some sort of medal, I marvel at his automagically programming skills!

Thanks for a really great show Jon, I just watched the whole recording on Facebook, and this news about the CTP token IPN being out has me very excited, it's a first on Steem and it makes it so much easier to accept payments, talk about important use case, if it's hard to accept payments then it won't happen very much, but when it's easy everyone can just use it, and if they don't they might lose business instead, so in my view this will spread fast.

As to SBI and the downvotes, I think that we should not give into this extorsion, maybe someone should give him some SBI and make him look ridiculous or something, and as we get closer to have SMT's rewards in Steem will also matter less, I don't know how serious this is but I have seen some serious talks about removing Steem as a rewards token after the SMT hardfork, but so far it's just rumours, though I do trust the person that I heard it from.
