Leicester City boss Rodgers backs Iheanacho to cover for injured Vardy

With star player Jamie Vardy down with injury, Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho has been tipped as the replacement to fix striker by Head coach Brendan Rodgers.

Jamie Vardy was sidelined after he suffered an injury and he is set to undergo a hernia surgery which will see him sit out for some weeks. Iheanacho is expected to set up and fill Vardy shoes while he recovers

Apart from Iheanacho, Ayoze Perez is also a likely candidate. These two are considered replacement by Rodgers. Rodgers admitted the England striker will be missed but those two can offer are decent replacement.

Leicester will be looking to continue their Impressive form this season as they face Brentford on Sunday in the 4th round of the FA Cup with Iheanacho most top choice to lead the front line.
