Let me tell you about this surprise visit to Puzzle Mansion located in Tagaytay, Cavite, Philippines some years back. I was then accompanying my tutee with his mom in attending a math summer workshop. During the day, the students were mostly inside the seminar rooms, so we were able to sneak out for a while.

A tricycle ride brought us to the main entrance. However, the road leading down to the mansion is a bit steep, so we had to walk the rest of the way. It wasn't too far, and the view was quite nice anyway. Plus, the weather was favorable as it was summer.

Puzzle Mansion was awarded the Guinness Book of World Records for holding the biggest collection of puzzles in 2012.That time it had 1,030 puzzles. I could imagine it would have more by now. The museum also opened to the public around that time. Our visit was about two years after it opened to the public.

Around the grounds, we discovered they actually had a bed & breakfast. There was even a pool. I went around a bit to take photos of the grounds before going in the museum room where the puzzles were displayed.

By the entrance, you'll see the award from Guinness Book of World Records and an accreditation with the Department of Tourism. Looking around, you'll see the entire gallery is filled with puzzles of all kinds and sizes.

It is totally awesome to know that you can actually turn a hobby into a fun and amazing museum such as the Puzzle Mansion. There's a display table of 3D puzzles of some of the famous landmarks all over the globe.

I was amazed by the amount of time that probably went into the building of these 3D puzzles. Can you name some of these famous landmarks? Wow! What's even more astounding was the biggest puzzle in the entire museum that could be found on the second floor. It's a 32,000-piece puzzle that took up a huge wall space. Here's the photo of the box.

If you think that's impressive, wait till you see the formed puzzle pieces!

I truly enjoyed my visit to the museum. I look forward to more adventures to come.
