Today's Prompt: lost cat
https://peakd.com/hive-161155/@mariannewest/day-977-5-minute-freewrite-wednesday-prompt-lost-cat
"Here kitty, kitty. Here kitty,kitty."
The cat had been lost for over 3 hours where could she be. I am pretty sure she didn't get out. I was only out once all day and the cat didn't follow.
She never misses dinner and her dinner time was 2 hours ago. Where could she be. What was that noise? It is in the ceiling. The cat could be in the ceiling could she?
I got a chair, stood on it and lifted one of the ceiling tiles up and out of the way.
"Here kitty, Kitty. Here kit..." Out she jumped. How did she get in the ceiling?
😁Time's Up!!

I am not sure they would have looked for 3 years. LOL Thanks for the comment.
Sometimes cats can get into the darndest places! When we moved from the country into the city one of our pet cats took off. She didn't like sharing the house with my daughter's cats. On my way to work one day I saw her and immediately recognized the gray Tabby with a pink collar. I caught her and brought her back home but she decided that she was better off outside. After putting a bunch of money back into setting her up with a new litter box and everything because she had been gone for months before I found her again... I think she went out vent system.
Nice freewrite!
It is amazing the paths, they can find. I guess that is why they are so good surviving. Thnks for the comment
My pleasure 😊
@rcaine Good thing you found the kitten.
hahaha - you got out of telling us how she got there - saved by the timer
One of these days I will finish a story. It would definitely help if I knew how to type. Thanks for the comment
hah! You can always use dictation and speak your story :)
My cat, when I had found him, was a stray cat. After I took him in he was an indoor cat because I was an indoor cat mommy. However it happened, one day he got out of the house and we looked for him for maybe an hour and found him on the patio crying to come back in. It is always curious how they get where they end up.
Cats do have the ability to show up in the darndest without an apparent way of getting there. We have one now that can walk through walls. Thanks for the comment.
