Dead Battery Murder
Today's Prompt: dead battery

The detective arrived to see a very impatient medical examiner standing by the body.
"It's about time you got here," the ME said. "can I take the body NOW."
"I had another case. Any obvious cause of death doc?"
"I don't see a thing. I'll have to get him on the table."
"OK,go ahead and take him."
The body was loaded on the guerney and wheeled out.
The dectective looked around. Nothing seemed disturbed or out of place. The first officers on the scene said everything was locked tight when they arrived. They ad to break in. Just have to wait for the ME.
Two days later, the ME called and told him it wasn't murder. It was a dead battery in the

Nice writing, Bob. I have been using the freewriting 'most dangerous' tool, and I set it to 20 minutes. Since I give myself 25 minutes per day to work on my autoresponder, it forces me to write straight for 20 minutes, then edit for 5.
So I assume the person died from a dead pacemaker battery?

Yes that is where I was headed but why wasn't someone notified about the dying battery? That is the question.
