A Shield-Backed Bug & An Aspisoma Firefly | Clevia, Suriname

Hi there, I can't find insects a few days already because I am scared of snakes. But one insect come to visit my room and another insect come to visit near our apartment.

Last night I saw a white moth come in my room, but I can’t take pictures of it because it was only in the room for a minute. I try to search everywhere but it was gone. I feel a little bit upset because it was a beautiful moth.

I saw this shield-backed bug in the grass behind our apartment, one I have never seen before. It has a beautiful yellow,my favorite color.

These are pictures I took when I was running everywhere chasing after it. It runs very fast and it’s difficult to take pictures of it.

These are pictures took only with my phone.

It changed the place a lot.

I followed it and took pictures of it all around our place, and it made me feel a little bit dizzy 🤯.

I learned its name is Aspisoma firefly. It come to visit my living room. It was quirky.

It’s was running a lot and did not stop for me take pictures.
