Akwa united are NPFL Champions with 71 points from 37 matches. Am really excited for this wonderful win from the Akwa United team and I hope they do keep this up in their next season matches.

Still talking sports, World athletics president, Sebastian Coe releases AFN password to Okowa-led board.

Super Eagle’s striker, Victor Oshimen scores twice for Napoli in the pre-season game with Bayern. Indeed, this is a good start for the Nigerian International.

Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson sets new records in the Olympics as he won 100 meters in 10.61

And as we can’t wait for the premier league to begin, I hope you are having a good time in the Olympics and the pre-season games.

I hope you had a good time going through this post and am looking forward to seeing you at the beginning of the EPL.

Sincerely I will say,I might not really be a fan of local football of recent, which I want to say it is a bit little bad from me not to have been supporting the local league too, especially one from my country, but I will go without saying am very happy for Akwa united who just won the NPFL.

To me it was a well deserved victory for them, after defeating MFM,the last match I followed was when they played against against Kano pillars which ended in a draw.

Indeed they are a worthy winner, congratulations to them.

Big congratulations to them. Well deserved. Really nice seeing the side from uyo, Nigeria clinching their first league title. It must be really exciting to have recorded their first major victory. The squad and state must be in a real form of celebration all the way. Guess the state government would reward them for this effort. They really deserve anything they get from this. The commendation would also help them going forward in the next season. It's important to continue this momentum come in the new season.

Also really nice seeing the Nigerian forward Victor Oshimen who plays for the Naples club Napoli representing the country well. Really impressive one with the brace against an elite team such as Bayern Munich. His seem to do really in pre season. I hope the coach plays him more often in the League games. He is a real talent to watch. He deserves to start regular. Hope the club don't waste such talent.

Really awesome performance from the Jamaican sprinter Elaine Thompson. She is really good on the tracks. She appears to have even nabbed gold in both the 100-meter and 200-meter races in Tokyo, repeating this for the second after doing the same at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Great times for the talented sprinter with the double-double.

The Olympics seems to be doing just well keeping sports lovers entertained. In about a week and few days time the much waited English premier League will soon commence. This would have felt like almost a year waiting if the European championship, Copa America and Olympics didnt happen. Great this recent tournament has took place this year. Really awesome year for sports enthusiast. See you when the EPL begins.
