That's Belgium through and Portugal out but it's come at a great cost! Both De Bruyne and Eden Hazard picked up injuries in the 1-0 win which wasn't the most exciting game I've ever seen with goal opportunities few and far between.
Belgium have got to be favourites still with a squad packed full of talented big names but grinding out this result might just have put a dent in expectations!
What about the Netherlands?! de Ligt gets sent off, the team go to pieces and the Czech Republic bang in a brace to get through to the quarters and the Dutch are on their way home. Netherlands had just about been in control until Schick was denied a cast iron chance by the hand of the Dutch defender, after that it was just a matter of time before the favourites coming into this game could no longer stem the tide.

This is round of 16 and I don't expect much goals but I give to Spain to scale through in expense of Croatia though both sides are playing goal goal now and for France, I give it to France in expense of Switzerland and that is my take.

Yep, that's great, so many surprises. Even if I screw up my predictions, pretty much everybody does too!
But that blooper own goal though... Lucky for that keeper, Spain won it anyways, that would have been terrible for him otherwise
