Bayern Munich's record of scoring four goals in the last 15 minutes in a Champions League match

Bayern Munich thwarted RB Salzburg's comeback with a 6-2 win. The reigning champions put on a sensational streak after scoring four goals in 15 minutes.

Played a Champions League Group A match at the Red Bull Arena. Bayern were surprised by Mergim Berisha's quick goal. Die Roten then hit back at two goals from Robert Lewandowski (penalty) and an own goal from Rasmus Kristensen so that he turned ahead at halftime.

Salzburg continues to fight. Masaya Okugawa beat Manuel Neuer to bring Salzburg to equalize to 2-2 after an hour of action.

Bayern's goal feast only started in the 79th minute. Jerome Boateng, Leroy Sane and Lewandowski scored one goal each, which was ended by Lucas Hernandez's goal in the second minute of injury time to end Salzburg's fight.

These results extend Bayern Munich's winning streak in the Champions League to 14 games. In addition, the Bavarians became the first team in the history of this competition to score four goals in the last 15 minutes of a match.

With the addition of these three points, Bayern Munich still topped the Group A standings after collecting nine points. On the fourth matchday, Bayern will still meet Salzburg, this time hosting the Allianz Arena.
