ππΎ Bobor Kroeung | Khmer Rice Porridge With Mushrooms π₯£ An Ital Khmer-ribean Recipe
Hi dear Hivers, I would love to share a traditional Khmer vegan breakfast with everybody. This is what we call Bobor Kroeung in Cambodia, and usually we eat in the morning, but some people make it for dinner also.
This recipe is normally made with fish, chicken, pork, seafood, or with dried shrimp. I made it Ital recipe. This recipe I is an entry for Hive Top Chef π©βπ³.

- 150g oyster mushrooms
- 4 black dried mushrooms
- 50g preserved daikon radish
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- 4 green onions
- 8 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp salt or taste
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 8 1/2 cups of water
ππΌ Fry garlic, black pepper, fried or crushed chilies, fermented soybeans, bean spouts, and add lime juice to use when we start to eat.
I did all like that.
After that boil carrots, preserved daikon radish, onions, and dried mushrooms.
While I boil them, I fry garlic until aromatic or brown, then remove it from oil.
Then I wash rice two or three times and fry it a little, add salt, sugar, soy sauce, and fry it two minutes.
Then add rice in the pot and add oysters mushrooms stir, boil them 15 minutes. After stir and taste, itβs ready.
When we start to eat we add the fried garlic, black pepper, fried or crush chilies, fermented soybeans, bean spouts, green onions, and lime juice to use when we start to eat.
Normally we use long coriander also but I do not have it. We can start to eat now.
Have a great day everyone π.
