Chocolates And Art

The Christmas gift shop and the art gallery were in the hotel where my daughter and I stayed overnight for her company Christmas party. As she was one of the staff in-charge of manning their registration booth, I was left alone to explore.

I used to work in this hotel many years back. I knew that they had a chocolate room where all the fancy chocolates were made. On occasions, the hotel would set up a booth to sell specially crafted and moulded chocolates. In this case, there's a gift shop located by the entrance to the lobby of the hotel. I suppose they decorate it according to the season.

I dropped in the small booth and took some photos.

To the left of the table on the cover photo were shelves holding the various specially crafted chocolates. They came in different sizes too. They all looked so yummy, and so I went for a closer look.

I have always believed that the best things in life are chocolates. LOL! These are a bit pricey too. If you have a bit of a budget, they are worth the try.

They're not all chocolates. There are a few gift items for those who want to do a little Christmas shopping while at the hotel. It's the Christmas season, so folks usually love to shop.

Since my daughter didn't really eat anything heavy apart from our breakfast, I decided to buy her something to munch on, in case she'll get hungry.

Cookies! She loves cookies. These were really delicious too. She shared them with me after her party.

Near the ballroom where her function was located, I spotted a long hallway with works of art. I got curious, explored and took these photos.

I'm not sure how often they change this exhibit, but what I saw featured wooden sculptures as well as mixed media welded sculptures. I'm no art expert, so I'll just share the photos of the various amazing works of art.

I found these wooden sculptures truly fascinating. I could also imagine that these works would be pricey. They looked even better up close as you could see the fine details of each work.

If the wooden sculptures were fascinating, the mixed media welded scupltures were even more amazing!

I got curious with that last piece so I took a closer shot. Fascinating indeed! Well, that's it for this week's edition of #marketFriday.
