Turning My Lemony Snicket Week into a Sublime Sunday

Last Sunday started out a good day for me. I had plans for this week and looking forward to completing a few offline tasks also that needed taking care of. A busy week.
But then came Monday morning. And that's when my perfectly planned week started to take on another shape. I call it my Lemony Snicket combined with Murphy's law kind of week.
First, my phone and internet stopped working. I have the bundling package, so when one goes out, the other does also. Verdict: I was told it would be Friday afternoon before a technician could be scheduled to come out and fix it.
That's when I lost it. Friday. No internet and phone for 4 more days? That's ludicrous, I screamed to the customer service rep. I found out 3 of my neighbors were in the same predicament. After talking to them, I also found out they couldn't get scheduled appointments for 3 or 4 days, but were already ahead of me.

That helped to know others were suffering too. That's a sad situation when you feel better about others in the same predicament. So I decided to lie down. When I woke, I made new plans or the week. I'd try to get online with my mobile phone to see what I could accomplish. I became more frustrated, so abandoned that idea.
Then on Tuesday morning I accidently stepped on my glass art and broke it. It was the one I used to take a photo for the pointy shadow contest. The item was one of my Czech Glass collection.
On Wednesday morning, I logged on with my phone and saw I'd posted two blogs on the same day that I didn't intend to. I attempted to create a post on my old mobile phone. It didn't work, so I scratched all my planned online activities.
On Thursday I started the day by going to breakfast. I felt better being away from home. That's when I encountered the customer sevice note on a side wall of the restaurant. I visited the meat market and took nice photos. I also found some gift items for my reunion. My spirits were lifted. I found something to laugh about all that day. The outings took my mind off what had happened earlier in the week.
On Friday, I had some ideas for blogs. By the time the technician left, my anger at being treated so disrepectful in my opinion had subsided. I was just thankful to have my connections back and working again. Oh, how I missed listening to the lastest scam telephone callers.
Day of Reflection
On late Saturday, I looked to see who won the pointy shadow contest. Not only did I not win, but I managed to break my glass art in the process. I thought about blaming @melinda010100 for suggesting the pointy shadow contest; otherwise, I wouldn't have removed my glass from the case. Well, that was pointless. I had to laugh at that one.
So I proceeded to blame my husband for not reminding me to return it to the case. Poor guy. He didn't even know I'd removed it. And he did point out that I should have immediately put it back. I had no one to blame but me. And that was considered a last resort.
And as far as the internet service interruption, instead of me falling asleep and not calling in the outage immediately thinking it may return later that day, I realize the delay may have caused me to receive a later service appointment.
I already apologized to my husband. Now it's time for me to apologize to @melinda010100 for the attempt to blame her for my pointy shadow fiasco. In essense, I was rushing and busy moving too fast and not mentally thinking about what I was doing and why. I have no one to blame but myself, and I'm ready to accept that.

Sometimes you have to slow down from that busy life and reflect on what you're really doing, whether it's online or offline. Are you just busy producing busy work, or you doing what you want to do and love instead of always tring to meet deadlines and cutoff dates?
I decided to slow down. Looking forward to a calmer next week.
Sunday. Today is the start of the new week. A chance to start fresh. In order to accomplish my goal to have a Sublime Sunday, I'm going to do absolutely nothing at all but sit back and finish that good book I started last week, before busy got in the way.
Thanks,
@justclickindiva

Oh my! And here I am, not even realizing that I was in trouble! I bet if something happens to your fence this week I will really be in hot water.
I'm glad your internet is fixed and am truly sorry that your beautiful pointy glass piece is broken. !Tip

Thanks so much for the tip and beer. That really cheered me up, lol.
And the fence was already fixed last month after a large stray dog tore the bottom portion off to get into the back yard.
Have a good evening.

Technology is great when it works and frustrating when it doesn’t - I guess in the UK we are lucky if the internet drops out it’s rarely more then a few hours - and my mobile internet is very reliable - as long as i stay out of city centres lol
