Who is John? / ¿Quien es Juan?

Mary looked at the old man with distrust, put the bottle of water that she was drinking on the table where the old man had placed the photograph, but when she tried to take it again she wet it slightly, I quickly took it to dry it with my T-shirt so fortunately, it was not damaged, except for a small stain that remained on Sophia's white dress.

The old man returned with the note and gave it to Albert, who read it aloud.

"Remember to buy a loaf of bread, beans, ham and some coffee"

At that point Lucia approached to ask what the old man had said when he saw the photo.

He said -I am John, here was a very beautiful girl, I was with her all night- and then he told us that he was old and that his bones hurt, but he did not tell us if he had seen Sophia.

We left the cabin to continue looking for our friend, we were about to leave when we saw her sitting in front of the lake throwing stones, in the end we all went to town to celebrate that after all no one had been hurt.

Several days later I found the notes I had made in my journal and read them aloud to my friends. Everyone was silent without saying anything, until Mary broke the silence by asking:

-Who is John?-.

"I don't know, I think I was falling asleep while writing," I told them and began to write the story again.

It was a hot summer afternoon, but under the tall trees of the forest it was more than cool, the five old friends had decided to go camping, Sophia, Albert, Lucia, Mary and me. All with their amateur cameras and a backpack with food and water.

THE END
