Ya need some meat with them potatoes

Hello my fellow CTP Talkers & Hivians,

There are so many points of view about blogging. So many do's and don't. Make sure there is meat with your potatoes, do at least 50 words, have a theme to talk about, have a great title. And these are all fantastic items don't get me wrong. But staying with the theme I have been putting forth over the last few days: ENGAGEMENT. Sure you can engage without writing a post but the best way to do it, I think, is through your own posts.

If you are new to blogging or been doing it a long time, it does not matter, we all write bad, meatless posts, especially when we are trying to do it every single day and keep, like me, a streak going of not missing a day since I started here. But you will know when you hit a gem of a post. Not because of the amount of upvotes you get but by the amount of engagement (comments) you get.

Should you worry about the meat in your potatoes? Of course you should. Or you going to have some potato soup every now and then? Of course you are.

Stick with it, never give up. If you run out of meat, keep eating potatoes till your hunt for some fresh meat is successful. You become a better hunter with practice .

I so badly want to be the 10th person in the CTP Talk Dolphin Swarm. How am I doing? Here is my daily report.

3989.388 HP out of 5K. Leaving me with: 1010.612 HP in the next 105 days. Or a daily average of: 9.62487619048 HP. I WILL DO IT.

Curation Trail please check it out.

Seeing I am post in CTP Talk this morning, I will bring back my footer. For all of you reading this that are not Click Track Profit Members or CTP Talk members please check out one or more of the items.

I cannot leave out MyHiveSwag.Store

This is an interesting thing... Actually, I disagree with this... If I know that I would write a "bad post", I will not do it at all... As it would be a bad image on me, and kind of lying my audience...

and another thing about "Hitting the gem"... there is a problem with that... If someone is posting pics of cats 20 times in a row, and then post something else, 99% of followers will not notice that post at all... Because they have lost hope that they can find something useful from that person... Of course, except if they are cat-lovers... lol... :)

Cheers!

Excellent points. I will certainly keep them in mind. Always learning from my peers.

I think I can see both sides here. It's important when you are first starting out to just keep going. Like for myself, I challenged myself to writing a post for 30 days, no matter what just to help build the habit. Some of those posts, looking back, are pretty crap. Others I feel are some really great content. But there comes a point in time where...I can't just keep writing just to say I did it. You should be getting better with each post. There is definitely some "close your eyes and swing for the fences" when it comes to any post we write...but to keep with my baseball metaphors, have a plan when you approach the plate! You'll get much better engagement there.

Did that make sense? hahaha 👑

I think that you were humble in your comment... Maybe you challenged yourself to write a post for 30 days, no matter what... But, if you still remember that, that means that you were aware of everything spoken in here... 🤣 I mean, you knew that you don't want to just publish shitposts, and you had actually tried to deliver value in each of your posts... :) (Making an effort excludes the possibility of creating a shitpost ...lol... just a theory...)

Of course, you have to have a plan... and try to do better in every next one...

btw... I have a feeling that you will have a lot to say in the comment section for my newest post, as you are talking almost the same thing that I have recorded a couple of hours ago... :)

Great progress on your Dolphin goal Bradley, but I have to agree with Zoltan @ph1102 here, I always want to keep on growing as a content creator and push the limits of what I can do, both about the subjects and their delivery.

That is not to say that I always succeed with that, or that I have not posted a bad video, I did that just a few days ago, though the reason for not making a new one was to show a bad example on purpose lol.

Is it easy to keep that up on a daily basis, no definitely not, but nothing worth doing was ever easy, it's when it gets hard and we still succeed to push forward that we grow as content creators, we push the limits of what we are able to perform and reach new levels that was not possible before.

So keep on pushing, and don't settle for average or worse, look for the day when you get as high rewards on your posts as you do on your videos, it has happened occasionally for me on my Actifit reports, but only on really good ones.

This is exactly the type of engagement I have been lacking and missing over the last while. That raises another question. Can a meatless post become great from the amount of interaction it recieved? Most likely it would not get any interaction but if...

Maybe, but it's not likely to happen very often.
