4 Things To Consider To Become Active on The Hive Blockchain

Nobody can argue with the fact that crypto is here to stay. And in the world of cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin is often referred to as the king of crypto.

But is Bitcoin going to become the major world currency? Will it replace FIAT currency? Will any cryptocurrency...or even cryptocurrencies in general, replace FIAT currencies completely?

I don't know. I know there are people who are predicting these scenarios...but personally, I just don't know. I do think it might be possible. But if so, I doubt if it will be any time soon...

To be honest, I would like the idea of being able to use crypto for day-to-day transactions. And that I believe is coming.

But why HIVE and the HIVE blockchain? Where does this platform fit into the picture?

4 Things to Consider

I arrived here on the Hive blockchain by invitation. At that stage, I didn't know much about crypto. And about Hive, in particular, I knew nothing.

But I got introduced to this platform as an opportunity to learn more about crypto.

Although I have learned a lot in the time I have been here, I am still learning every single day and still have lots to learn. The Hive Guide is extremely helpful in this journey.

But in the time I have been here, I have come to the conclusion that there are at least four things to consider when thinking about the future.

  • Ownership

One of the first things that pop into my mind is ownership.

As soon as you become active and you start taking part in the activities here on the blockchain, you have the opportunity to start earning some Hive. By staking (powering up) your Hive, you become a co-owner of the platform and whatever content you create on this platform is yours. Nobody can remove your content.

Being a decentralized platform, there is no single entity that can remove or censor your content. The platform is collectively owned by the communities...the individuals who are active on the platform. Therefore you have full ownership and remain in control of your own content.

As you and fellow community members have the power to "upvote" or "downvote" content published on the blockchain, it is up to each individual to add value to the platform.

So, this freedom comes with responsibility, as is the case with anything related to building your future.

  • Build Your Brand

Whether you want to start an online business or whether you want to be a content creator (or both), you will need a website. That website is going to cost you money. You will have to register your domain which must be renewed on an annual basis. Then you also have to pay a monthly fee to get your website hosted.

With that in mind, I believe it is a good idea to get started here on the Hive blockchain, where you can create content and engage with members of a community of your choice, with no out-of-pocket expenses. This will help you to build your brand before you start spending money on websites.

  • Your Business

I am more focused on creating content at this point in time. But, it is good to know that when I consider getting active in marketing or get involved in some form of online business, this platform is also ideal. It gives you the opportunity to make and accept payments through various methods that are available on the Hive blockchain.

I am not sure whether it is functional yet or not, but I have also heard about the function to make recurring payments possible here on the blockchain. If you know more about this function, please feel free to share the information with us in the comment section below. It will be appreciated.

  • Your Currency

Unlike the traditional form of business that we all are used to, you can now choose the currency of your choice to do business in.

You are free to make and accept payments in all currencies available on this blockchain.

Conclusion

With these points in mind, I believe that I am at the right place. I am here to stay and I believe this is a good place for me to build for the future.

I hope this post is helpful to you. If you have any other thoughts or valuable information, please feel free to share it with us in the comment section below and let us build together.
