Monday Inspiration

A great starting point when setting any goal is to start by determining where you are right now. Then determine where you want to go, why you want to go there, and then get going.

Determine Where You Want To Go.

Using some of my own goals as an example:

One of my main goals for 2021 is to become more active on the #Hive blockchain.

Another important goal is to learn more about blockchain technology. This will provide me with more inspiration to achieve the first goal of becoming more active.

The third goal that goes hand in hand with the first two, is to improve my income on the #Hive blockchain.

You might think these are very "broad spectrum" goals. But, I do have more specific targets, but that will be discussed later. For now, the purpose behind these goals is to learn more and to increase my income.

Get Away From Zero.

It is one thing to know where you want to go, have goals, and even a plan of action. But if you don't act, you won't get anywhere!

If you start from zero and you do nothing, you will still be at zero tomorrow. You can look at it for as long as you want...think about it as much as you want, if you don't take action, nothing will happen.

Start Where You Are, With What You Have.

There is a saying that "the richest place on earth is in a graveyard". It sounds harsh. But this is based on the many dreams of people that never manifested. They never manifested, because no action was taken.

Don't wait until the timing is perfect.

Don't wait until you are ready.

Just start. Wherever you are, use whatever you have, and just do what you can.

The results will come. If the result is not what you want, at least now you know what to work on. If the results are good, build on it.

A great way to start is just by showing up. The secret is giving substance to your presence. When you show up, pay attention to what is actually going on around you. Engage by leaving comments. Or start by creating your own post. But show up...and then do something.

Eighty percent of success might be from showing up. But, the other twenty percent is taking action.

Summary

As part of my goal to become more active on the #Hive blockchain, I was thinking of creating content on various themes on various days. Such as...something "inspirational" for the week ahead on a Monday (Inspirational Mondays)...etc. My idea here is to break away from only posting a "nice picture" with some nice idea written on it.

I was thinking in the line of how I have done this post... Do the "meme" thing, but let's pay a bit more attention to the ideas discussed and how we can apply it in practice.
