#My Hive Goals - It's Time To Start Building

When I started here on the Hive blockchain, I started doing weekly updates about my progress. To me, at that time it was like a little experiment to see if this can really work.

After one year was completed, I started looking at more of the projects that were going on here on the blockchain...and still found it easy (maybe even easier) to become overwhelmed with all the new projects and tokens.

I arrived here on the blockchain in the first place because I started looking at the possibility of earning some income online.

But now, I have decided that it is to time to start building.

This platform can surely be used to accumulate, hold, invest, whatever you want to call it...but it can surely be used to build income as well.

During the first 4 months of this year, I was still busy completing my little "experiment". I wanted to complete a full year to enable me to compare results with the same time as the previous year when moving forward. I just thought it will enable me to set more realistic goals in the future if I can know more or less what to expect, make comparisons, and then try to improve on the results of the past.

So, at the beginning of this year, I had goals/targets in mind, but I didn't know whether I was being realistic or not. As time went by, I even started thinking that there is no way I am going to hit those targets during this year. That was until I decided to seriously start working at this...

For now, in this post, I will start with two of the goals I have had in mind since the beginning of the year.

250 Hive Power

In February I still didn't even have 50 HP. During the months from March to June 2021, I averaged in with very tiny amounts, buying small amounts of Hive.

In July, I decided not to buy any Hive and see how it will affect the growth of my HP if I increased my activity by creating more content. Over the past two weeks, I seriously increased my activity by creating more content and engaging as much as possible.

The results started showing up in my HP over the past week.

My current balance is now 180 HP, standing at 72% of my target achieved.

500 - 180 = 320 to go.

5000 CTP Staked.

At first, I was thinking of using this platform to only accumulate and hold. But in the foreseeable future, I am going to need some additional income.

With that in mind, I also use my CTP income now to help boost my Hive income by withdrawing 50% of my weekly CTP income to Hive Power, and I stake the remaining 50%.

At the beginning of the year, I thought I am aiming high for 5000 CTP by the end of this year. When I decided to start using CTP income to help boost my Hive income, I really thought I will not even get close to having 5000 CTP staked by December.

But, by increasing my activity, things are looking good after all.

My current balance of staked CTP is 4084 CTP, standing at 81.68% of my target for this year.

5000 - 4084 = 916 to go.

Conclusion

As mentioned in some of my latest posts, it's time to start where I am and use what I have. It's time to start building.

I am also looking at some other projects to build with. I have invested in some INDEX which is currently showing some nice profit and slowly but surely creating some passive income. I am still learning more about this and some other projects, but my main focus will be on creating active income first.

As mentioned, some of that will be used to boost my hive income and some will be staked.

So, after all, I think I'm actually on course and on target.
