My biggest failure might not be a failure as much as it was a mistake...
I didn't pay enough attention to using tools to keep my passwords safe and some of my accounts got hacked.
Fortunately, I didn't lose a lot of money, but the audacity of some stranger for poking his horrible little fingers into my private stuff where he has no right to be was enough to shake my foundations and get a good wake-up call.
Keep your passwords safe! There are tools available. Use them.
Second, to that, marketing is my biggest failure. But that is due to my own inconsistency...never being big on the marketing side... I know I have to change that and consciously apply more effort to change that.

I use Roboform for my password protection tool. It generates really good passwords too. I used to be one of those people that used the same password for everything I am just lucky that it didn't cause me any issues. When I discovered Roboform I joined it and upgraded and never looked back.
I've heard about Roboform. I'm using LastPass. Also generating strong passwords and working quite well in general.
I have heard of Last Pass as well. Glad it's working for you. The point is to protect your passwords and not be lazy about using the same one for everything you sign up for. Have a great weekend! 😀

I have heard of Roboform, which is an interesting concept. I like their 1 compressed encrypted file for security.
I have no idea what you're talking about with that. But yeah, it's worked well for me since I started using it, Chris!

I am a bit paranoid when it comes to security. I have a mechanical Firewall, with a proxy server, on an all Macintosh network. I also get iPhone alerts when someone tries to connect to my WiFi the alert actually gives me a MAC address.
I found that nothing beats a notebook under lock and key for username and password security. Did you ever learn how your accounts were hacked? That will go a very long way to preventing a repeat hack. For example, if you are using simple passwords, a brute force attack would be able to hack your accounts, but most hackers use social skills to get the information like a fishing scam in your inbox.
The really sad thing is no matter how careful a person tries to be we have all clicked where we should not have.
I was using simple passwords...that I know. at that stage, I was pretty much clueless about security and the kind of threats that are present online...Not that I'm an expert now, but at least I know enough to be more careful...lol!
Wow! It sounds like you've got a great setup for security. That's awesome. I'm very security conscious and alert in the physical world due to my experience as an ex-cop and personal experience, but on the internet scene, I still have a lot to learn though...
The internet is tricky, but luckily the information is readily available and free 👍 For me it was a no-brainer and because of my business type I received a nice discount on my business insurance.
That really sucks when that happens. I have experience it too.
Just be glad that you are the good person you are. that other person is probably miserable if they think they need to do that.

And yes, people who think they need to do these things, must be quite miserable indeed. You are so right!
