Caramel or chocolate sauce is a must.

When I was a kid, the local ice cream dairy bar near my grandparents house (still in operation today) had a marshmallow sunday and it was simply melted marshmallow over vanilla ice cream. It sounds kind of gross until you try it.....YUM!
