Happy Friday and Back to Work!

The weather forecast for our drive was way wrong and that was a good thing. We had already left my Dad's house and were on the road when he realized he had forgotten his hearing aids. We didn't go back to the house because we had no idea at that point what the drive was really going to be like. It was fine and we ended up getting to the clinic an hour before his appointment.

It was quite a procedure. We got called in to the exam room right away and saw 3 people before the Eye Surgeon came in to discuss my Dad's condition and the prospects for success with his eye surgery. They first had to take a bunch of measurements for how his eye moved and where he was having problems. They took the same measurements back in December when he had his first appointment and nothing has changed much since then. That is why surgery is an option. Thankfully he is in good enough health in general for someone his age (90).

Strabismus surgery loosens or tightens eye muscles changing the alignment of the eyes relative to each other. Just FYI

My son (age 24) had strabismus surgery a few weeks ago. The first day or two after surgery it was irritating and inconvenient, but by day 3 he felt OK and could tell a real difference. Best wishes for your Dad's continued good health.

Good Morning, Kimberly! Apologies for the delayed response. Thanks for that information because it reinforces what the doctor told us to expect. I hope your son is continuing to heal and is happy with the results of the surgery. Have a great day! 😀

Good Morning, @coolguy123! Thank you very much. No surgery is scheduled yet. A few steps in the process before that. I will be keeping everyone posted as we go along.
Have a great day! 😀

Thank you, @kenwolff! It will be nice for him to have more quality of life. It doesn't get him down the way things are now. He still keeps pretty busy and that is why he stays so healthy overall. Have a great day! 😀
