There are really good projects coming out that can contribute to the functioning and progress of cryptocurrencies and blockchain. But most of these projects strangely turn into investment vehicles.

I'm uncomfortable with this situation because the project, not the investment tool, can be much more beneficial.

I think it has to do with the fashion of the day which is to get the highest APR. Without a high APR people are less willing to contribute into a project and then the project tends to lack funds to develop. That is how I explain this phenomen to myself.

Yes!
Everyone thinks about themselves as they should be. Then the project owners should act in a way that does not have a shortage of funds.
