Thanks For the Push .:. Hump Day Easy Talk

Wednesday is an interesting day as it's in the middle of the working week... It can be stressful as it's not at the beginning, and there is still 2-3 days until the weekend... To release me (and others) from that, I would try to make a bit "easier" vlogs for this day...

It was a perfect day when I was recording this video... I know that wind is ruined a bit the atmosphere, but I hope that it will not annoy you during the video... It was a bit cloudy, very peaceful, and pleasant with that refreshing wind... I know that a lot of people can't enjoy these small pleasures, of a nice walk in nature, far away from city traffic and noise... Reminding myself about that, I'm feeling grateful that I can and I'm sending you a bit of these relaxing vibes...

As I wanted to talk about something "easier" today, the first thing that got on my mind is the popular saying of "stepping out of the comfort zone"... Yes, it can be stressful, but it is very rewarding in the long-term... But, besides these BIG steeping out, we are doing some small steps during the journey... Sometimes we don't even recognize them as we are occupied with bigger things, but they are there... Moving us a bit forward...

One of these small steps for me was the recent changes that @nathanmars made in his (our) #HIVETwitter movement... If you are not familiar, Nathan came up with a great idea of doing #hive5 on Twitter, where participants would tag 5 people and send virtual high fives to them... It was a genius marketing move... It made Hive people closer, and I have met a couple of new friends there...

And then, Nathan decided to change the rules... He recommended to participants to name only ONE person in a tweet and send some message to it... That sounded frightening to me as I'm still a big introvert type of person, and I'm not good at that kind of communication... At first sight, I was a bit "scared" and almost quit my involvement... I started to make excuses for myself, and that was the moment when I decided that it was the "easy button" of going back to "old me"...

I have created the first tweet with new rules, second, third... And the effects were even better than before (with 5 names "rule")... People are respecting, even more, one on one approach, and it's a great feeling to share gratitude with another person...

Don't forget to check out the video...

Thank you for your valuable time,

~ph~

It's so peaceful out there.

Good thing that the walking/recording is already a routine. I'm still working on that.

As I can see, you have a lot of things on your plate... but you still do these short videos, from which you create a big one... that means that you are thinking about your content during the day... and that means that you have some kind of routine... ;)

Thanks for the motivating words!

But still, too often, there is a 'filmed at night' portion in my vlogs, meaning that throughout the day I had little to no time.

People who live in a city especially big cities hear a lot of noise. They love the silence. I like the surroundings of the road where you walk. It's beautiful, calm, and clean.

Well, you should do a video where you walk :) If you don't want to show your face, show us the surroundings :)
No pressure :)

One of the things I miss a lot is being in the country, Living in the big city , now for 3 years, theer is constant noise, construction, cars, trucks, sirens, people, lol, there is a lot of birds but , oh and planes overhead

walking is a great time to utilise for thinking, creating, etc

our synchronicity occurs again, this morning I wrote a blog about step by step

The Nathan Mars challenge sound great, I must get involved, I dont spend enough time on Twitter

We can hear loud and clear :)
Silence is soothing & precious indeed!
Very pleasing energy
Lived in a metro city for many years thus know the importance of calmness and nature much missed out in such environments.
keep smiling!

Hehehe... It's good if you heard it loud and clear :)

When I was going to University, I went to a smaller city and it was bearable, but my girlfriend lived in a bigger city... And sometimes, we would meet for a weekend... I couldn't stand 2-3 days in a row there... lol...

I'm so lucky that I could choose where I live... and I'm thankful for that...

I had a talk with my daughter the other day and she is at an age where her brain is like a sponge that absorbs everything that she sees. She is in a permanent state where she goes out of her comfort zone, always learning new stuff and challenging herself. I believe that for us adults, it's something that we tend to avoid because it requires efforts, we have our inhibitions and we don't have the free mind of a teenager again. In a way getting out of this comfort zone is a very important exercice that allows us to continue learning and continue to challenge ourselves. It's a way... to stay youg in the mind :-)

Hehehe... nice comparison... And probably it is a question of age and experience... It depends on the person... If someone remembers only the bad things that happened (or mistakes made), it will be very hard for it to start something new and go OUT!

But on the other side, those that are "positive" sided are probably those that are forever young!

And if I remember well, your "offline" business involves children (or adults with kid's soul... heheh) and I completely understand your point of view... When I had a PC gaming place (before the Internet boom), a lot of children were coming to play games, and that kept me young... which was cool... :)

I love the quiet of nature. It is so peaceful & sets my soul at ease. I don't have a place I can walk to as you do but the next place I live, I definitely will. One thing for my bucket list ..... :)

Yes, in my own experience, I have noticed the smaller steps have been more impactful than some of the larger ones. This is where I noticed (in hind sight) the powerful changes have occurred. Without those small moments, I would've never be able to achieve the bigger milestones. It always fascinates me that we never really see it in our every day lives, but looking back, wow what a shift :)

I agree. Sometimes I have a similar reaction when a change happens. I whine to myself that now I got to get used to a whole new thing & why do I have to do this....hahaha. But once I get out of my own way, and embrace the change, I do a lot better. It's funny how we humans are such creatures of habit & our automatic response to change is resistance....but in that, we are learning to overcome that & in itself, that is a lesson. :)

Awesome video, Zoltan! Thanks for all you do. Our community is better with you in it. :) 💜

That is exactly what is happening inside me when I have to make some change... good or bad, doesn't matter... But, at the end, it converts to a good thing... That's probably when Universe is telling me:

I TOLD YOU!

Hehehe... Thanks for the comment and understanding... :)

This is a silent atmosphere which is so good and I think its well needed for all of us. I am a big-time fan of your way of making videos because of you. You score actifit step count while recording video and this is awesome my friend. Fitness is essential and you are doing great work, my friend. Thanks for sharing another wonderful vlog with us.

Thank you for your kind words, Alok! I really appreciate it... I was talking before about connecting certain tasks and made them as a habit...

Well, this one is one of those... As you said... Actifit steps (even earning tokens for that), recording a video for a vlog, peaceful time for sorting out my thoughts, and beautiful nature... I can't ask more...

Coming out of inhibition is one of the greatest challenge and sometime we act as our own enemies.

Ps; Your English is fine , I never got any problem in understanding you.

You are so right about being our worst enemy... I hate when I react negatively on the first news... That's my bad habit and I will work on it... Luckily, sometimes I recognize that and do the opposite, but not always...

Thanks for the comment and good to hear that my vlogs are understandables.. :D
